JW Spouse problems
by marcosgarcia ini am not a jw, my spouse is getting way into it -- 4 times a week.
i am not sure what she is doing - and i am not interested in jw -- it is not for me or my children.
a sister was coming to my home -- without my consent and giving a "study" to my children.

the JWs will do everything they can to indoctrinate your children behind your back, even to the point of meeting your children at school and studying secretly with them in a parked car somewhere
That comment hits home ! I came home one day earlier than expected and found my youngest in the back seat of a car with two sisters. When I asked what my chld was doing in the car they said they weren't dong anything wrong. they never answer directly...I did not ask if they were doing soemthing wrong I asked what they were doing. They left after that. Should I go to the KH and talk to the elder and tell them to keep out of my personal affairs? I already told the two sisters to stay away. I though maybe that is why they changed sistersf?
I am not bothered by the joker he is a obviously a jackass. I am NOT deciding her religion, she decided just recently to change her religion. What I am deciding is to teach my children the religion that we agreed upon before they were born. So joker is way off the mark.

I am not a JW, my spouse is getting way into it -- 4 times a week. I am not sure what she is doing - and I am not interested in JW -- it is not for me or my children. A sister was coming to my home -- without my consent and giving a "study" to my children. I told them to stop and after much heated discussion the reply was that since I was the HOH -- the JWs would respect my choice of religion for my children and stop coming to my home. I was pissed afterwards when I put things together and relaized "Why the heck did they not ask my permission in the first place if respecting HOH is the rule? Why were they preaching to my children, behind my back? Is this the way JWs operate? I am trying hard to keep them away from my children, but they started doing studies with my spouse and the children were present. I forbid that. Something happend to the sister doing the studies, and she was replaced. When I mentioned the sisters name to my spouse, she said she no longer has anything to do with "that woman" (the sister). So she got a new teacher. I told the new one I did not want my children near her -- when I caught her giving a stuudy to my spouse with the children present. She just said "Oh sorry about that." I took my children and told her not to come near them. Now the second sister has been replaced with a third one. The third one I found outside my child's school waiting to pick up my child with my spouse. Does any one have an idea why the sisters keep getting replaced? Does this mean my spouse is moving up to different levels in the org? How can I keep them away? As for the marriage it is as though I am trapped. If I leave the JWs will come in and start teaching my children since they no longer consider me head of household. Any advice or comments? If this is an inappropriate post please let me know. I am seeking some advise/answers. Thanks

Head of the House or an Ayatollah?
by Englishman indo the jw's still have a belief in headship?
i'm talking about where the male is the head of the house.
his word is law, his wife is in subjection to him, his children are meant to sit and listen in awe to his every pronouncement.

JWs Live In Their Own Little World
by minimus inone thing i'm convinced of is that jws live in their own little bubble.
the world could be in chaos around them but not missing a meeting is what's most important.
children of jws could be going thru teenage trauma or even molestation, but are they getting their "time" in??

Their non-JW relatives are expected to fully "understand", and comply, with the fall-out that is a result of their personal decisions based on their faulty theology. In other words, they expect the world to revolve around, and cater, to them, but they do not observe the same courtesy to those family members who are non-JWs.
Country girl you are right on! The religion becomes the most important thing for them. All that pressure on them to attend meetings, studies and the conventions. It seems crazy. My JW family memeber is adamant about attending. I really think all the pressure will make this person crack. How do they get people so motivated or is the word scared? Are there cases of parents totally shunning thier minor children to the point of giving all responsibility to the other parent. ? Or will the JW partner fight endlessly for custody?

Hello! I have a question. In order to be disfellowshipped do you first have to be baptized as a JW? If someone says thy are "not" a JW, but they are "studying" to be a JW can they be booted out?
THANKS
