WT website-shunning-Where is it????

i, along with many others here, saw on the wt official website, in the faqs section, their answer to the question "do jw's shun former memebers?"..

we've posted many comments on their response on various threads, such as on qwerty's topic "wt-faq on shunning--" just yesterday.. this morning i went to that site to copy it, and it seems to be gone....unless i'm not awake yet.. is it gone or did i somehow miss it?.

also....i did a 'search' on their official site, on the word "shunning" ... result was "no results" so i changed it to "disfellowshipping" and the article on "child custody" came back as the only reference.

Who is in charge at the WT? from the view that yes
they do watch closely what is developing here and
are trying to develop a "rational" response. But for
that age group information and its dissemination
are moving too fast, even for some of us youngins. lol

For the first time in man's history the big publishing
firms can be out manuvered, out thought and out
published by one single person with a free, library type,
computer and free access to the net. Very powerful,
mobile, adaptable and soon accessable by nearly every

what's the general concensus on whether the governing body really think they that they are 'prophets' or whatever they call themselves.. do we think that they really believe they are, or do we think that they know they are not but 'pretend' that they are??.

i've worded it badly, but, i think u know what i'm gettin' at!!.

after reading silentlamb post today, i was shocked to find out that 23,ooo elders stepped down in 3 years, which leads me to believe that others in cong.

would wonder as to wants going on within their cong.

then questions are to rise within the cong.

Huge cash reserves
Great cash flow
Zero Debt
Free Labor
No tax status

they will always survive, most likely. IMVHO we will see
the WT evolve into somethin unrecognizable from what
we see today. Same as the Russell to Rutherford saga.

If a "strong" evangelical leade*r comes to power the
change may be faster and more dramatic. If the WT
is run by "committee" the change will be slower and
less obvious. *Russell, Rutherford, Freddie.

In either senario the "lite" will do and say whatever
serves their agenda and there will always be a % of
people who will buy into this philosophy. Heck, what
with their cash they might sponsor "cash rebates"

My vote goes to Lee Iococoa for GB Chairman.

he said that he believed that pual in the christian times believed that "faith alone was enough to garantee that you where saved.

Please go to any SE and look up "logical fallicies faq's"
your "ad hominen" attack on Mr. Dunlap is typical JW thinking and arguementation.
i will support your right to disagree with him and also to attack every last bit of his position,
but not him as a person. When on shakey logical ground attack the person - not very
schorlarly (can't spell sorry) but the WT discourages logical reasoning.

Please see thread on "without a doubt" I am embarrassed for you and your uninformed
debating, logic and reasoning skills. You have your hands full on this board which if
you had been truly reading and following should have alerted you to practice, practice
and, of course the real downer would be, intensive study on the printed facts. The
position "I believe, I believe" just does not carry any water here. Prove your points
professionally, scienticaly and with empathy for your fellow forum members.

Welcome to the board and looking forward to seeing your future growth. I am still
working on myself and I have a long way to go for sure.

not only out publish as to quantity, which
was first reaction due to their huge volumn,
but most importantly the quality, "truth",
and compassion.

i am in awe of the defrockers
who correspond here. Compassion, empathy,
desire to search for truth and of course
superb, world class humor. No boredom here.

I really appreciate all your thoughts on this last post but the most
significant is the above. Actually, i think that it will be more
like - helping them to expose themselves. The most impressive
arguements, for me at least, is using their own words in the defrocking.

i would say kill 'em with kindness that is.

I probably would not have the courage to do that,
but the fact they asked to be invited showed
real fortitude on their part. Maybe this is the
start of their 'doubting/moving away process".

What a fine witness (lol) you could make to them
not to harbour malice, or at least to keep it well
hidden. That will be the hard part.

Congratulations on your accomplishments and
try not to look back. Something I work on every
day.
