my family told me today that at the service meeting instead of the experiences of pioneer's being read, instead a letter from the society was read.

Last time I checked this has been going on for a long damn time and I keep those exact things on hand and have forever.

i think some people actually use part of their real name.

i chose mine because i really feel 'in between', in that space where your not a jw anymore but really haven't figured out where you are in life and what path you want to take.

just thought it would be an interesting topic.

Plus... whenever my family asks "why weren't you at the (insert meeting, assembly, special talk, memorial) I can simply respond with "Iforget" why.

It is sad Mulon....he was so very kind to me during a very stressful period. I was 16 and had gone to the BOE with molestations issues. The bastards 3 uncles sat on my comittee. Yeah THAT'S fair. After an interrogation of what exactly I had done to "tease and lead him on" AT AGE 12??!!

Emshoff was kind and understand. He stepped in and for once the BOE had to shut up and back down. Although what he doesn't know is that he gave me the power to walk away. I realized just how unchristian the JW's really are.

wife has an interesting opportunity to do this, but...well, it's a risk.

she passed the interviews and was invited to the 4-week training.

thing is, they say that 75% of those who are accepted into training for it wash out.

I flew for a major carrier in the US for 10 years. I loved it and it taught me patience and to be calm during a crisis. Was the training hard? It's no picnic. You have to learn over 13 types of aircraft and be able to evacuate them in 90 seconds or less. I was never a stewardess but I was a Flight Attendant. I was there to save your ass not kiss it. I would get you a coke with a smile in the meantime.

People have zero idea what it's like in the unfriendly skies. I also flew with some real assholes as well so when they make you miserable as a passenger I can almost guarantee they are making the crew just as miserable.

Few are chosen and it's not easy to get thru training. Those who view it as "waitress" in the sky are being snooty and need to get a grip. It's a job with a lot of responsibility and a lot of down time and perks. Money is not the reason to do it. You have to fly a lot of hours to get the bigger bucks and bid the correct trips to optomize your dollar. Hard work but in the end...it's in your blood and we are all family even after retirement.

Wow what a blast from the past. Here's my two brushes with him and you all debate it....

1. He played with my hair and openly flirted with me at a dinner with my elder father and other elders. No one did anything and in fact I am pretty sure my mother would have loved it had I married the old guy.

2. When the body of elders abused me during a judical comittee this man stood up for me. He took on the entire body and was enraged over their questions (did you orgasm?) and took them all to task. It was the first time in years that a brother in charge had taken my side and had my back.

Did he do it for the right reasons? I don't know. But he made them back the hell off and took them to task for being unkind and unreasonable. I will never forget him for that. He was never married and the Emmy you speak of is his sister.
