dear watersprout...
I did not try to make you look stupid. I did not twist your words. I had no control over what you said or did not say. THAT is between you and your lord isn't it?

dear watersprout...
I had not talked to you before that previous thread that we were on. on that thread I had asked you several questions about your faith...without questioning the fact that you have faith in your lord ...I asked you to explain to me the reason for YOUR faith. I was not trying to trip you up in any way, I have no reason to...I was asking questions. questions that you refused to answer but chose to use abusive language toward me. I did nothing to provoke you, you just flew off the handle and your abusive language and childish attitude continued over to this thread...what kind of fruit do you have?(compare galatians 5:22-26) ...your hidden heart has been manifest for ALL to see. I think God did that for your benefit and ours.

dear watersprout...
you seem to have lost your rational mind. if it makes you uncomfortable shareing your faith and you feel the need to be abusive towards someone who asks you simple questions then there is no reason to continue.

dear Tammy...
in this instance I was refering to two specific scriptures that AGuest contends is false...namely the great commission (matthew 28:19) and the armor of God (ephesians 6:13-17) either the Holy Spirit inspired the apostles to correctly relate what Jesus said and they understood everything regarding their "holy armor" or not. notice I said the apostles and they...there was a unity of purpose in relaying the message. AGuest alone says that they got it wrong...and it should be the way her lord said to her.

it seems to me that most, if not all christians are really hung up on sin and redemption from sin and how naturally evil we all are.. my question, and observation is this : i had nothing to do with whatever you say adam and eve did wrong, i have always, throughout my life, treated whoever i came into contact with compassion, respect and love.. i have lived by the golden rule.. not many people, hand on heart, can say that, i can.. so, is your god going to judge me for the "sin" of some mythical forebears of mine ?
is he going to say that , because i did not believe in him, i willl be judged adversely, even though i lived by the precepts he is supposed to support ?.
all i can say is, if your god is like that, i refuse to worship or acknowledge him.. and i certainly do not want to get to know him.
dear 20571pnt428571...
I understand what you're saying but it doesn't "ring" true.
you are saying that when the (inspired by God) scripture says that when the Son is called Everlasting Father and Mighty God it is time sensitive and location specific.
how does that mesh with the fact that God Almighty said He didn't recognise any God with Him when the Son was with Him before creation and that God Himself said that "you shall have NO other gods before Me (exodus 20:3) and that God created the heavens and the earth?(gen. 1:1) and...psalm 86:10

dear AGuest...
the Holy Spirit indwells believers and philip was a believer and it was put upon him to teach the eunich from the scriptures. hence the Holy Spirit led philip to teach an unbeliever from the scriptures...but you say that the Holy Spirit would not do that...
I mentioned that wisdom is justified by her children in connection to watersprout because I had asked her to explain to me about the reason for her faith in Jesus as her Saviour and she didn't or couldn't give me a coherent answer...all day long. she professes the same lord as you do from what I've read. that lord that you claim to be the Holy Spirit. the discussion that watersprout had with me indicated that not only had your lord not taught her anything from "faith to faith"...but you were quite lax in teaching her as well. now why would the Holy Spirit not work through you teaching her like unto the way paul went from congregation to congregation teaching believers the first principles of the faith? at the very least I would ask why the Holy Spirit wouldn't want her to digest these first principles of the faith and then to grow into a mature christian...honestly, watersprout listens to your voice and you seem to be happy enough about creating a sycophant...which is not going to help watersprout AT ALL. and to make it worse...what she spews out of her mouth is the witness that she gives of your and her lord...
you can ramble on and on but the fact is that you plunder the word of God and then tell everyone that the Holy Spirit would not teach from the word of God...and you tell people that what the Holy Spirit told the apostles to write isn't correct in some cases...because your lord says so. kinda like WTBTS deja vu.

dear AGuest...
"You simply must show me where that was said by Christ... or even "written"..."...why, do you need to see it?
the Holy Spirit does this when leading believers into all truth...and incedently...I can't understand why you didn't teach our dear watersprout the basics of why Jesus Christ is her Saviour if you are lead by the Holy Spirit...wisdom is justified by her children.
that's all I have to say to you at this time.

p.s. Tammy...I'm glad you clarified......seeing the Word in the word ISN'T the same as seeing Him in person.
dear Tammy...
yes! He did say that...and blessed ARE those who believe with out seeing Him in person.(context)

dear AGuest...
there were lots of books that weren't included in the canon. the ones that were included in the bible we have now whether catholic or not are there to help us...the Holy Spirit can and does use the bible to teach the whole counsel of God...though you have adamently disagreed
His words in john 5:39-40 do still apply to the jewish people...it's a good thing to know where to find references in the OT to show them that their Messiah has come just as it is written in their books...john 2:22, romans 1:17, romans 10:17, acts 28:22-27
I don't need to see "it" in writing anymore if that's what your getting at...acts 4:4, 1 corinthians 3:5-6, 2 thess. 1:10...I read the bible because I want to and appreciate the word of God...and it is a source of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him...its contents are a spiritual blessing that was meant to be shared...there is a lot more in the bible that can be appreciated besides reading about Jesus of course...
if you feel that the Holy Spirit would not teach from the bible then why do you enter in there?...you've said it is because "others" need to see it in writing to believe, like thomas...didn't Jesus say to thomas touch...and see if it isn't Me, Myself?...which is quite what reading the entire bible is, touching something older than our own thoughts and seeing...and believeing. (no need to mention that the demons believe too, you must feel blessed that such a scripture is there for you to bandy about...whenever you feel like it)
love michelle
dear AGuest...
when you quote john 5:39-40 and any other scripture to support your view it is akin to plundering (when you have not been plundered). the context of that scripture and who Jesus said that to surely has some significance...He was talking to the jews about their scriptures(john 5:17-18)...not everyone who reads the entire bible now. as a matter of fact we read the OT now in order to read that He was who He said He was.
