i would say that that would be impossible...given that jesus christ is simply an angelic being in wts eyes.. jehovah's witnesses have about as much a relationship with the angel gabriel as they do with jesus.. and, no...tacking on the name of jesus at the end of a prayer is not evidence of relationship..

Jesus lives in and through His disciples and so it is the Holy Spirit who reveals or *expounds Him to others (using the bible) luke 24:27,32. in the case of those in the WTBTS they have "knowledge" of the Son from the scriptures but they strictly avoid any meaningful dialogue with His disciples to the end that the Holy Spirit might reveal Him to them.(they are trained to be opposers) those in the WTBTS have biblical knowledge...but they haven't wanted to receive extra-biblical knowledge.(1 tim 4:13-14)

the bible and the church TOGETHER are set apart from secular authorities for the simple fact that they are to espouse and maintain a coda of morality within society that is not subject to the winds of change...otherwise...who or what "culture/person" has the authority over another "culture/person" to define what morality is...one persons pedophillia is another persons virgin bride etc...

anyway...

in keeping with His mediatorial role, I would say that the early church called on Jesus as He is the preeminent "keeper of the law" and they had placed their eternal fate in His hands.

paul instructed the church to not let the grace of God give excuse for licentious behaviour and he also called for removal of people from the midst of the church who did not repent of their ways. the historic RCC tried to bring purity to the church with their emphasis on the vengence of God toward sinners (they made it personal, not corporate)...these measures don't appear to me to be anything like the cheap grace that is preached in some of today's protestant churches.
