in acts 4:12 the Son of God is called the stone which the builders rejected, that stone is consistantly named Jesus. and we are told "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved"...is it unreasonable to expect that if Jesus is not the name given that the real name would be given to everyone loudly in order that more might be saved?

your friend AGuest has said that Jesus Christ doesn't even exist...do you realize how many people (who whole heartedly turned to Jesus) she condemns as unsaved by her statement in relation to what it says in the bible in acts 4:12? what are your thoughts on that since you both have stated that you are sisters "in" your christ?

I don't think it is a test from God as to how we respond, each of us has his own conscience as to how he will respond. but...if being humanist is the better way to get things done then you would have to show results as to whether that is true or not...christians aren't standing in your way, are they?

I don't think that God is powerless to help these people...He has His people to do His will in this world and they do. As long as He is able to change hearts He has power in this world.

the bible states that satan is the prince of the power of the air in this world and he and his angels work against the will of God in this world.

but, the bible states that because of the sin of A&E and their entering this world with their fallen nature that is why this world is as it is.

I think that whether a person is a believer or non-believer the opportunity exists to help these people by putting your money where your mouth is, so to speak. Part of living the christian live is helping the poor...if humanists believe that is part of their ethos too, then good...do it.
