you are constantly saying, "judaism doesn't teach that". Rabbinc judaism is interpretation of the torah and there are different versions of interpretation. That's why there are various sects of judaism from ultra orthodox to liberal. Besides that, if you don't believe in God, it is hypocrisy to argue for what you believe the right interpretaion of His word is.

you've said what amounts to: no one can know anything about anything from the bible because it's been tampered with and, "Evidence is a touchy subject when it comes to scripture citation, to say the least."...

you have cited the lost sheep parable as a portrait of the character of Jesus (matthew 18:11-12) more than once in your effort to prove that the WTBTS are wrong in their disfellowshipping policy. Don't you think that you owe the tax man something?

THE word is ὑποκρίτης (hypokritēs) from which we get HYPOCRISY.

rabbinic judaism, which (as an atheist) you cite as the absolute final authority, is simply a version of interpretation.

would it be correct to say that there is no proof that isaiah was getting messages from God, transmitting them accurately or that he even existed, there is no collaborating contemporaneous witness to his person. You believe he existed and that he transmitted God's message based on faith. (Even as an atheist!!)

the NT gospels are all collaborating the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus and witnesses collaborate each other.

if christians believe isaiah was a prophet of God and he accurately transmitted God's message then why on earth WOULDN'T we believe the gospel testimony?

think about this for a few minutes...from what quarter is OT credibility coming from? Is it islam(who's "prophet" found need to do a re-write to accommodate his new religion) or is it from any other major religion? Who besides the jewish people believes isaiah and supports use of the OT without "evidence" for its veracity? It is christians...it is christians BECAUSE we have a shared faith in the same God. If that wasn't the case then what was the real motivation for gentiles to believe in sin and atonement OR a Messiah. God called us to believe in Him too despite animosity from jewish leaders and religious persecution on the part of roman authorities.

You can think and say whatever you want about what happened back then but it doesn't jive with the "evidence" or reality of Jesus' church.

the OT says ______ in isaiah 53:7-10...On what basis do you prove to yourself that it is accurate transmission from God? OR that God even had a message?

Yeah...I meant the stuff you defend as meaning this or that but certainly NOT ________. or put another way, how do you prove to yourself that the law or what isaiah says is sufficiently accurate for you to argue for an interpretation one way or the other

Yesterday my comments were (mostly) about what the Torah said about personal sin and the means of atonement required by God. Sacrifice. I didn't say anything that should provoke the response you gave.

Not once did I suggest that all jewish people are "christ killers". it is a fact that today evangelical christian support for the jewish people and israel is in the millions...but I wont shy away from pointing out that back in the day every time Jesus was approached by the religious leaders He showed them from the torah that what He did was "lawful". Unsatisfied, the religious leaders appealed to the roman government and brought charges of sedition against Jesus when all He did was "the works of God". Given that the supreme judge of the land found Jesus innocent of the charges against Him AND given that the religious leaders continued to call for His crucifixion after being found innocent...there is no way to avoid the conclusion that they WERE sinning against their "brother" according to the deut. 19:16-19...19:20-21 implicates the multitude who joined in, calling for Jesus' crucifixion. Jesus died for THEIR sin. that's why He said, "forgive them Father, they know not what they do" ...

Holding all christians accountable for the actions of some is NO BETTER than some christians holding all jewish people accountable for the actions of some. Holding these views in perpetuity IS bigoted and it smacks of narrow mindedness.

Jesus paid the price for not submitting to "authority" and was Himself like two sides of the same coin and He said it best, " render therefore to caesar the things that are caesar's and to God the things that are God's" (matthew 22:15-22)
