i was just watching a show on the cbc on bse and they were talking about renderd beef and how the animal blood, guts and bones are all mashed up and its byproducts are used for cattle feed.

as well the fat produced is used in the cosmetic industry and also put into candy products such as gummy bears.. .

so when sister soandso is on the way to the meeting and hands her kids some gummie bears to keep them quiet while she puts on her lipstick they are all partaking in blood products.. .

A JW at my work, question?

there is a guy at work that i had heard was a jw, so i was working with him and we had a few laughs talking and joking around so i was starting to pry and get it out of him that he was a jw, also i had heard a few things and wanted to ask him as well.

so i asked what he did for christmas and he avoided the question and then i said, "oh yeah your a jehovahs witness" and he said he was, right after he said "but i got some good presents" (admitting your a jw seemed to be awkward for him) as he is the only jw in his family.

i told him that my parents were as well and my grandparents went to the same hall as he did many years ago.

I think he is on his way out!

I asked him what his congregations reaction was to the WBTS being a member of the UN, he was startled and said there was no way this was true, he was adament about looking it up on the net and kept asking me where to find out. So I told him, YEAH!!!

The other funny thing was another JW at work found out he was dating a wordly girl and approached him and mentioned to him that this was wrong.

He told me that he wasn't a HARDCORE JW as he said there are many who are to over the top for him. One of his pioneer friends called him up and said he was an APOSTATE for missing meetings, what a joke eh! Funny thing was how he said he auxillary pioneered and said how it made him very judgemental and made him look at those who were not pioneering and question in his mind why they were not pioneering as well. Interesting!

What I had heard was that he had a WORDLY girlfriend and I wanted to ask him this, so I did. He said that he did and that they had been going out for a year now, I then told him that this was not permitted! He then went on to tell me that it was now his CHOICE!

Has this changed?

North American Cold Snap: How Cold Is It Where You Are?

it's cold in toronto tonight/this a.m. - i believe it went as low as -26c (minus 26 celsius) .

it was pretty freakin' cold.

I came home from Mexico on Friday and the pilot said in Mexico that it was -20 in Toronto but when we arrived he came on again and said it was only -19. I still had my shorts on too. I walked out of the arrivals gate all tanned and everyone had these huge winter coats on, I was laughing hard inside cause I must have looked so stupid.
