  How did this get turned into a left vs. right thing? If the bomb had exploded, wouldn't it have killed people of all political persuasions?

  Ask Michael Bloomberg. Honestly, I think that the media is so desperate for ANY example of right-wing violence perpetrated by Americans that they wil latch onto anything that fits their preconceptions.

  You know, just because a media outlet reports that the guy's house was foreclosed on, doesn't mean liberals feel he's justified to try to blow people up. All media (other than Fox) does not equal the left's opinion (like we all feel the same about everything).

  The problem is that this is the second time in which he have had Islamic terrorism, and the media has been slow to look in the direction of Islam (the first instance being the Ft. Hood murders by Nidal Hasan).

  Thank you to the vendor in Times Square, the cops on the scene first, the FBI and the Emirates airline employee who called in the suspicious ticket purchase.

  I join you in expressing your gratitude to the people involved in the apprehension of this turd.

  Don't know, but you sure sound like a Muslim apologist to me, and I have dealt with 100s of them.

  You are saying that just because some other people have engaged in terroist acts, that we should not look at the group that has, in recent history, has committed the perponderance of terrorism in the world. That is how you are decieving yourself.

  Most people think, but there are large amounts that don't know why they think what they do and are capable of the critical thinking required to arrive at a sound conclusion or do anything but throw a hissy fit.

  That's what you said. What you meant was that because I have an opinion that differes from your own, then I am an uneducated bumpkin. The feact is that I am not worried about terrorism from the groups you mentioned, because recent history has shown me that I don't have to worry about them. However, I do have to be concerned about a Muslim with explosives hidden in his underwear.

  For all you know, I might agree with you.

  So then why waste my time and yours with the nonsense you have written?

  Too bad you didn't stop to ask, but rather just ranted, stomped your feet and stuck your fingers in your ears rather than listen or think...

  Yes, there have been whackos that have used terror in an attempt to drive their agenda. However, no group has engaged in this more, and perfected it better than Muslims. To deny this fact, is to deny reality. I will not play some game in which you have your view of history and I have mine. The fact is that the IRA is NOT flying jets into buildings. The Chinese are NOT strapping dynamite to themselves and detonating on a crowded bus or in a crowded pizza parlor. The Africans are NOT filling SUVs full of fertilizer and attmpting to explode it in the middle one of the most densely populated cities in the world. So if you wish to continue on down this road of self-deception that you have created for yourself, then so be it, but there are thinking people that will not join you in that folly.

  You mean like the white men that committed what would today be defined as terrorist against Britain way back when, or the white men who would be terrorists back in the 1860's, or the ones in China or Russia or Africa, or the Irish ones on Europe?

  Or do you just mean the ones you are talking about that happen to be Muslim?

  I was not addressing terrorism commited in the 1860s. I am specifically addressing terrorism that the world has been subjected to since the rise of Islamo-fascist regimes. If you wish to go back into history and attempt to smear people then by all means go ahead, but you just prove my point all the more. Namely, that liberals are all too ready to blame someone else OTHER THAN the group(s) that are clearly responsible for terrosism in recent history.

  The way that the liberal dominated mainstream media focused in on a "white male" is remeniscent of the manner in which this same media was in such a hurry to remove any religious motivations from the Ft. Hood Islamo-terrorist, Major Nidal Hasan. Secondly, the liberal mainstream media has been in such a hurry to find any form of violence within the Conservatives of this country, that they have clearly ignored the violence from the Left. For example, the violence during the initial protests over Arizona's SB 1070, committed by Latinos. The violence in Santa Cruz, CA during the May Day illegal immigration marches. We even see this in history! A noted Leftist who lived in the then Soviet Union and had far-left sympathies, Lee Harvey Oswald has been removed as the sole suspect in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The left made President Kennedy's assassination about the "hatred" in Texas and Dallas, instead of the actions of one of their own.

  The facts, if one chooses to look at them objectively, clearly show that when terrorism occurs in this country it was almost always been perpetrated by Muslims. While I do not believe that every Muslim is a terrorist; history has demonstrated that nearly every terrorist has been a Muslim. Why is that the Left has sucha hard time pinning suspicion on those that have a history of terrorism? Yet on the other hand they have no problem pinning suspicion on conservatives and/or those that have issues with the current Socialist-in-Chief?

  tec: I missed the explanation of these four criteria things that historians use, as presented by Licona.

  The criteria that have near unanimous acceptance by scholars conservative to liberal (based on Gary Habermas' work) are as follows:

  1. Jesus died by crucifixion.

  2. Jesus' disciples believed that He rose and appeared to them.

  3. The conversion of the church persecutor Paul.

  4. The conversion of the skeptic James (the brother of Jesus).

  There is a fifth fact that does not have the same support as the four (about 75% acceptance) listed above:

  5. The empty tomb of Jesus.

  Licona and Habermas delve further into these five criteria in their book The Case for the Resurrection of Christ.

  Any Dodger fans heard Danny Kaye's D-O-D-G-E-R-S (Oh, Really! No, O'Malley)? It's a must have for all Dodgers fans.

  Edited to add: Giants fans might have a reason to hear it too, since the song invloves that team. It's throughly enjoyable.
