  Fashion Fluff....Questions for the Ladies....

  since it is friday and i am in a fluffy mood..... fingernails....long/short; painted, bare?

  french manicure or nothing?

  i had my nails *done* a few months ago and there was a man there getting a full set of acrylic nails.

  I have silk wrap nails, (I'm allergic to acrylic), which I beat the crap out of, done in a french manicure. My natural nails are like rice paper and to make things even worse, I have "man hands" (if you watch Seinfeld you know what I mean), so the nails help feminize my hands.

  I have regular pedicures. Usually have red or some shade of burgundy. I don't like light colors on my toes.

  Pantyhose? I haven't worn those in years. Mainly, because there just isn't much reason. However, I wore them for years in when I was a banker. I don't mind wearing them as they don't symbolize dubdom for me. I kinda like the feeling of silky stockings.

  I'm easy, alright. However, never, never, sleazy.

  Easy, sleazy, bimbos targeting those poor innocent men. How very biblical. That sort of temptress behavior originated with Eve. Poor Adam, he was just minding his own business. Eve made him do it.

  I also noticed single men included as targets.

  In general, I agree with what Abbadon wrote. I have always been puzzled when a spouse cheats, the injured party scapegoats "the other person". It wasn't them that made the vows, or promise to be faithful.

  And quite frankly, if I man doesn't have the balls to tell a woman to get lost, he is enjoying the attention.

  children don't need encouragement or coaching - unspoken expectations and incredulousness and anger when they are not met are the way to go.. newspapers, national geographic magazines, and fraternal organizations are much more interesting and more worthy of a time investment than children are.. children are noisy nuisances.

  keep reminding them of this by yelling whenever they make too much noise, accidentally get in your way, or otherwise annoy you or complicate your life.

  Mind of I add a few of my own, Dan? I swear, I'm not bitter.

  When money is in short supply, always do whatever is necessary to make sure your supply of alcohol is not interrupted. Even if this means denying your children decent housing, clothing, and food.

  When your child has earned money through his or her own sweat and tears, you are entitled to take it and spend it anyway you like. Preferably gambling or drinking. After all, you can always rationalize that since the money is kept in YOUR house, it's not stealing.

  No, I do not love myself. I find the notion of that rather odd. But, whatever works for others. And I would disagree that in order to love others, I need to love myself.

  I do try to act in a way that I can respect. Hence, I have self-respect. Much more important, IMHO.

  People that perhaps couldn't afford counseling so they call her out of desparation - I can't imagine how many situations she could have totally screwed up in the 3 minutes (or less) that she gave any particular caller.

  I remember quite clearly Dr. Laura declaring numerous times that her show is NOT therapy. People ask her opinion on a particular dilemma and she gives it. And I also remember her directing many people to more appropriate means if their problem seems to be related to more deeply seated issues.

  I don't have a problem with people being critical of her. However, I'm willing to be fair in my opinions of her. Like I said before, the big change came after she converted to Judaism.

  And here is the whole quote relating to homosexuals and biological errors:

  BIOLOGICAL ERROR
  "I'm sorry, hear it one more time perfectly clearly: If you're gay or a lesbian, it's a biological error that inhibits you from relating normally to the opposite sex. The fact that you are intelligent, creative and valuable is all true.   And this is my own opinion: Not every problem, or issue, needs months of professional therapy. Some situations are simple and can be simply dealt with.

  I used to enjoy listening to Dr. Laura back about 7 or 8 years ago. Quite frankly, I liked her no nonsense style and passion for parents to put their obligation to their children first. So many people are willing to allow their children to pay the price for their own selfish wants. I also liked how she cut through the bull.

  Back in those days, she had not converted to conservative Judaism. This is where see the marked difference. She didn't have the black and white attitude she exhibits today. She didn't rail against homosexuality and spoke openly about using masturbation as a form of sexual release instead of just screwing some idiot.

  As far as the nude photographs. So what? Geez. Those photos were over twenty years old. How many of us have done things twenty years ago that we aren't too proud of? Granted, her style leaves her open to strong criticism. However, I just don't think that's something she should be condemned for.

  our two eldest sons and their wives went to las vegas for the week today.

  i have the 2 year old son of one son and the 14 year old daughter of the other son, for the week (until friday).

  the girl (carlie) is an absolute dream, so helpful and has a great personality, but she goes to school everyday.

  Hang in there, honey!

  My Mother just lives a few houses away from me. Hubby and I went away for a the weekend recently and she and my stepfather were exhausted and ecstatic (to see us) after spending two days with my kids 11 and 6. Both are high maintenance and picky. The one thing that does make them tolerable is that they are so loving and affectionate.

  You know it's bad when you own Mother marvels are your patience.

  The food thing? Tons of great suggestions. If he resorts to spitting, etc., immediately remove him from the table and mealtime is over. Toddlers will not allow themselves to starve. McDonalds is a great idea, too. When my daughter was a toddler she ate two foods, ONLY. Chicken nuggets and spaghetti and that was it, period. No mac and cheese and no noodles. But, I understand lots of kids like those. Cheerios is good too.

  I don't have any suggestions of sleep. That was the ONE area I was blessed. My daughter sleep through the night the day I brought her home from the hospital. And my son only woke up once for a feeding and then immediately went back to sleep. He slept all night after a few months. I guess I had to be lucky somewhere.

  It also has not been my experience that girls are easier than boys. Both of kids have the capacity to be monumental pains in the butt.

  LOL @ 6of9. Now THAT was funny.
