shouldn't it have been the person who gave you your bible study, that should have baptized you?
in matthew 28:19,20 it says "go therefore and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit.. the way i see it, it should have been the one who gave you the biblical knowledge, that should have baptized you.
making disciples is phase one, and baptizing them is phase two.
The man who baptised me wasn't a stranger to me. I have recently learnt that he was murdered. He was asleep in bed in his own home when an intruder broke in and stabbed him to death while he lay sleeping. Beside him lay his terrified wife, she was not harmed. Apparently it was a case of mistaken identity and the intruder suffered from a type of psychiatric illness. I was very sorry to hear this had happened...he was a lovely man...very humble...I also learnt he was inactive at the time of his death.
I held Noel McKenzie in high regard, and I still do.

just thought i would share my saturday morning experience.. my partner and i were sitting on the porch having our morning ciggie when we saw a car up our street.
it was them.. 9.30am, their 1st door, the dude and his mrs are strolling up my drive and he yells a gidday as he approaches.
i then said to him that this house should be recorded as a do not call on your map.

Good to see another kiwi posting. I'm a kiwi-roo as one other poster described herself, that kinda tickled my fancy LOL. I'm from Rotorua...but I live in Melbourne...I associated with the Gisborne City Cong, Rotorua's Kawaha, Westbrooke and Fenton Park Congs, Murupara, Kawerau, Opotiki and both Whakatane's Congs.
I don't know that many from Wellington, but I have a cousin who is still a jw down there somewhere, thats if the wind hasn't blown him over here LOL.
Hey great to see you on the board...and another poster to look out for is Kep, he's based in Rotorua, but he has enjoyed a couple of mini-meetups along with Mackin.
