Became a witness in 1978. I left in 1997. I am just inactive (but I'm sure they've seen the Halloween and Christmas decorations at my house). I am apostate scum LOL. I learned alot from the witnesses about the bible and how to live a decent life. I learned how to show love and forgiveness to others from the bible. These are things I did not learn growing up. For these things I am very grateful. My daughter, who is grown, was traumatized by her witness upbringing. If I had it to do all over again, I would get my children involved in extracurricular activities. I would also have encouraged them to go to college. It's all water under the bridge now but it would have made a difference in their lives.
