yesterday morning i was enjoying coffee with a few teachers when we started talking about the north carolina laws that say that if you get a ticket while you're under 18, your license might be revoked.
i was joking with them that in my business sedan (ford taurus), i can speed and no one seems to care.
i spoke way too soon.. yesterday evening, i was leaving for work at about 5:20. i saw that i was coming up on a cop, so i did that thing where you hit the brakes, but try not to make it obvious that you just slowed down.
Find out where the cop lives and slash his tires the morning of the court case. Slip some sugar into the gas tank while you're at it for extra mesure. I'm willing to bet he won't show up, plus the bonus is you'll feel a lot better for getting revenge on him for giving you the ticket in the first place.

after 40 years of serving as a regular pioneer and being on the infirm list, the circuit overseer, the po and another elder told her today in a 30 min.
conversation she was going to be announced as no longer pioneering.
the co mostly talked about me, my wife and daughter.

Thanks so much for sharing your story. When I first did it, I found it quite therepeutic myself. It was about a year ago that Mrs Kwin (posts here as Heart2Heart but not often anymore) left, and in conversation you know it's funny the things that I thought would "plant seeds" actually pissed her off as well. I guess us men just don't get it sometimes! hehe

i saw something very disturbing this morning.
i parked my car in the downtown dallas area and in the parking lot across the street i see a grey ford mustang.... with a fake redhead woman sitting in the passenger seat.
it was painfully obvious that this guy was using "her" so he could drive in the hov lane.
Erm....what is a HOV lane?
A carpooling lane, there has to be more then one person in the car. We don't have them around here, as our bigest highways have only two lanes.
I remember hearing a few years back that when they introduced those lanes and passed the laws around them, there was a huge increace in the sales of inflatable people in sex-shops.

i've been reading up on recent rulings of human rights violations in nova scotia, and the awards that have been given to victims in the last few years.
something that i've noticed is that the two common violations are always matters of race, or sex.
nowhere did i see someone who was the victim of religious discrimination (except a minister who wasn't permitted to use a town facility for preaching, btw he was awarded $6,000).
I thought I recall that the consensus on this board was that religious discrimination did not rise to the level of racial or sexual discrimination as one chooses one's religion where race and sex are not chosen, but I could be wrong.
