  from your response you probably know the Bible better than I so I doubt that your blood will be on my hands.

  Perhaps I know the bible somewhat, but I thought this was about knowing Jesus. The bible only discusses miracles that were seen 1900+ years ago, and were written by people who didn't see the events first hand, most who didn't even know Jesus. So if you have evidence that can prove to me that miracles took place, and as you said scientists can't dispute them, please provide it. I'm giving you ample opportunity to prove that you're not lying here! or are you really just here to count time (all too familiar concept) and aren't interested in other's long-term welfare?

  prove that there is no God

  If I told you that a pink elephant took care of my grandmother's garden every year, planted the seeds, pulled the weeds, watered it, fertilized it and so on, wouldn't the burden of proof be on ME to prove to you that there is in fact a pink elephant doing this?

  Therefore, I believe that the burden is on YOU to prove that there is a god, not for me to prove otherwise.

  Besides that, YOU, real one, stated that if I researched I would find evidence of miracles that scientists could not deny. I have asked you to show me this evidence. Why haven't you?

  i have said before in past posts - i think a belief in a god is because of two bad reasons.. 1. ignorance (not always deliberate at all) of certain facts.

  the universe and life on earth was not designed.. 2. wanting to believe in a god.. so, to focus on the second, i can see why people would want there to be a god.. you see dead loved ones again, you live forever, you have a purpose set out for you, you feel there's always a being with you through even your most difficult times.

  for those who believe in a god, could you live without one?

  I can and I do. I gave up imaginary friends when I was 5, well, except one I gave up 20 years later. I called that one God.

  leaving the society was scary at first but i had to make myself grin and bear it.

  Whoa...I love threads that inform me of arguments going on in others...LOL. I didn't even open the original thread. Now am going to go read from some ignorant shit telling us how to be happy. YAY!!!!

  Sorry. I think real one got scared off at all the attention that he/she was getting, either that or they decided to try to find the proof that they said was out there in order to share with us. Either way, it will be a long, long time until he/she returns.
