i always thought it was funny, those sunday mornings after the time change, when elder neverlatetosetanexample showed up just after the talk.

i think everyone made some sort of comment, even just to themselves.. of course this time of year they will just think of themselves as extra theocratic, as they'd show up an hour early!.

Wouldn't the bible students own the plot?

Would you need some sort of permission from the government to exhume a body? If so, I doubt that they would grant it as all persons that would have been part of the conspiricy are now dead as well.

It's time for us in Canada to crack down on this. The JW's are just using the "charity" status to save more money. We should contact our MP's to make a requirement that a charity is required to provide certain services - outside the religious BS that JW's consider "charity".

Not only with the JW's get dinged, but all those phoney charity companies will too.

I'll call my MP on Monday.

WHY DOES THE WTBS HOARD CASH

they must have billions...annual revenue alone was almost a billion last year.

they must have close to 10 billion in assets and a large chunk of that is cash.

if the world is going to end any day that cash is useless.

The WTS reported to Revenue Canada that they had 26 million in long term investments, and their property in Georgetown was worth 40 million.

So if the end is comming so soon, why "long term" investments, and why is their property not mortgaged to the max since they won't have to repay?

Hmm.

60 million dollars would finance a lot of missionaries at $60 a month.

A confrontation

last night was one of the toughest nights to date in my adult life.. my parents and grandmother had been repeatedly asking mrs. kwin about arrangements to get to the assembly this comming weekend.

she isn't going and my family were unaware of her change in beliefs regarding the wts.

so, instead of putting things off, not giving an answer, avoiding the situation, we stood up.. i'm not sure how long we were there for, an hour, maybe two but it seemed like forever.

before leaving the jws, i never knew what medium rare nor rare steak tasted like.

i always had mine well done.

i got sick of steak because it just didn't taste all that good.. after leaving, i had a steak that was medium rare.

Do you use anything with pagan origins?

i'm conversing with a jw about the "pagan origin" issue.

i'm familiar with the fact that the names of the months and days of the week, wedding rings, and baptism all have pagan origins and are accepted for use by jw's.

can you guys think of anything else that jw's partake of or accept or use that has questionable origins?
