so some colossal asteroid is hurtling toward earth (preferably centered on brooklyn) and nobody can find bruce willis!
in 24 hours we all go the way of t.rex and his buddies.. how do you spend your last day of life?

if you aren't a "believer", does it bother you when someone says "i'll pray for you" or "i prayed for you"?.
one of my colleagues is an incredibly kind and sweet person, and i know she says it because she believes she's doing something good on my behalf.
i always say "thank you for thinking of me", because i know that's the spirit she's intending to convey and that she cares about the situation i'm in vis-a-vis my jw relatives, but she knows i no longer believe in god (at least not in the sense that she does) - i wonder does she think that a few prayers are going to change my mind?
It does bother me at times. I know they are just trying to make be encouraging but for some reason that bugs me too. Especially when I don't need a prayer and need real help with something LOL!

announced our circuit overseer last night in his talk about the urgency to preach because of the times.
followed by a silence that was broken with ohhhs and ahhhs.
he said that a couple of times throughout his part, simulating a beating heart with his fist.
almost everyone there seemed all too happy about it.
Geez
it's friday evening!
how will you be spending your weekend?
what will you be doing to relax tonight folks?.
Probably sitting here or getting a good nights sleep so I can get up and drive an hour and a half to work tomorrow LOL

Icky. That kinda thing freaks me out.
I know it's not as bad as that virus off of "Outbreak" but I've seen that movie a few too many times

does anyone hate their job but feel like they would be throwing away a good thing if they quit?
i'm working at my 3rd state agency in 4 years and have been unhappy at every one of them--usually because i don't have enough work to do and feel like a hamster on a wheel waiting for the paycheck, and i'm so bored!.
i'm scared to quit the state job because i have a large family, and this affords me great medical benefits and retirement benefits.. any advice?

Exactly how I felt until I quit yesterday!
But I am not in your situation and I didn't have anything to lose really. Have you talked to your family about it?
i knew i was a little odd, when i noticed it was only me who seemed to read magazines, starting at the back and working my way to the front.. but the other day, i realized when on this forum, that i always start at the bottom of the page of topics and work my way up to the top!!!!!!!!!.
i know strange but true.
have any of you got a strange foilble?.
When i go shopping, i pick up everything that i like, even if i can't afford it, then as i work my way to the cashierm i start eliminating items. by the time i get to the front i have one or two items left out of 20 or more.
LOL I do the same thing...especially when I am in a craft store like Micheal's and picking out beads...I pick a bunch of them and carry them with me, and when I am ready to go and have my arms full I put back what I can live without and take the rest to the cash register.

I won't take showers with the shower curtain closed (basically because I've heard about that movie Psyco (even though I have not seen it))..even though it makes a mess to leave the curtain open
I eat my food WAYYY too fast...like you'd think I had a 2 minute timer sitting in front of me..I have to remind myself to use manners when eatting dinner
I like to sleep on my right side...but the wall is on the right side of the bed and I can't sleep without my back to the wall.
When I get really nervous or self concious, my speach starts to slurr really bad (not like in JWD chat..thats all for fun..lol)
I hate to clean but can't stand it if my things arent perfectly clean and tidy.
If I am in a cluttered environment I tend to be nervous or uneasy...and if I am in a neat environment I am more calm and collected.
I can't go to sleep without hunting down my babies (my pets) to tell them goodnight and give them a kiss.
I could go on and on but I'm starting to make myself look a little goofy!

this is a car advert from somewhere.

Holy......!!!!! I just broke out in a scared to death sweat! (In my defense...all my lights were turned off and it caught me off guard..)

clever clock stops you sleeping late.
(cnn) -- if you are not a morning person and find it difficult to get out of bed, then "clocky" might be the thing to improve the start of your day.. a scientist at the massachusetts institute of technology (mit) has invented the clever device, which will defy even the most determined alarm clock "snoozers.".
LMAO!!! Exactly what I need!!! I hit the snooze button at least 10 times before I get out of bed...and I have been known to throw an alarm across the room......
I now have a radio alarm clock.....waking up to Linkin Park next to your ear full blast "Shuttt uppppp when I'm talkinnnn to youuuuu!!!! Shadduppp!!!!!" has a way of waking you up real fast.
I think I might want to buy myself a clocky!!! I think it would put me in a goofy mood for the day if I had to crawl under my bed to catch my alarm clock!!!
