by bronzefist injuni and i were talking, and she vaugely remembers brown bag lunches provided for the dc at the racetrack in chicago, it was either when she got on the bus or off the bus.
anyone remember that practice in chicago or elsewhere?
she also mentioned the porta potties at the racetrack.......how awfull they were.

I do not think it has anything to do with the tire fiasco. I was there for that one. So many fans were pissed off, but they sure took the free tickets the next year that Michelin coughed up. I actually got 4 tickets for free, because I had two to the botched up race. We ended up taking a couple of friends with us.
It all came down to Tony George (Head of Indianapolis Motor Speedway) and Bernie Ecclestone (Head of F1) arguing about money. I guess the millions that both of them made was not enough. I will post a picture I took from the debacle of 2005 (of course of the Ferraris):

You have gotten categories mixed. The Indy Racing League calls some of their races Grand Prix, but they are not Formula One. The USGP has been in numerous places in the past, Watkins Glen, Detroit, Long Beach, Dallas, Las Vegas, and most recently Indianapolis. Tony George and Bernie Ecclestone have been in a pissing match about money for the past couple of years, and is keeping Formula One out of the U.S. The only F1 race on the North American calendar is Montreal for the Canadian GP.

Update on my Kasey dog and her surgery....
by FreedomFrog inwell, as you know, i was upset yesterday because i got the news that my kasey had a tumor on her leg that had grown to a huge size and the vet was convinced it was cancerous since it was growing so fast.. good news and great news.... she went through the surgery just fine and they were able to remove the complete tumor (about the size of 3-4 baseballs combined going around her to the inside of her leg).
back in april, it was only about the size of 1 baseball but grew so quickly that if she hadn't had the surgery it could have broken open and the only thing they could have done at that time was put her down.
they were able to remove every bit of it which yesterday they were in doubt because they thought it was in the muscle too much and would only be able to remove 3/4 of it.
