Is there a Christian message without the element of fear/perceived threat?

so many christians highlight love and mercy as the main point of their religion.. that's undeniably appealing.. but is it true to christianity?.

in the end, isn't the belief all about escaping god's violent wrath?

aren't those that are unable to accept the system's contradictions and absurdities promised suffering and eventual destruction as punishment for their disbelief?.

I have read though Maddie's thread the last day or so, and have really been repulsed by some of the comments that she received. Some just responded BS; How eloquent!?

And some of our most prolific posters that try to become logical all of a sudden! I will reserve comment, but they know that they have earned my contempt.

Maddie, I do not have an opinion either way. I wish you nothing but the best in your future. May your life be eternally happy.

My Marriage just ended I feel so sick and stressed please help me. Serious.

my wife and i split from the witnesses about 2 years now....and now she says we need a divorce asap!

she doesn't want to work thru it.

lately and for awhile she has been amazingly aggressive to me.....and pretty much everyone else she knows.

I can really relate to the back problems! I had a long time GF after leaving the Org, that had numerous back surgeries. We were together for close to 5 years, but the multiple back surgeries and her taking narcotics changed her personality.

I was with her through three major back surgeries, and she turned against me even though I was with her though all her problems. I am with you, and will talk any time.
