2 special pioneers i knew were at the assembly last year i wanted to know how they were since they have special pioneered for 20 years.
both got sick and have chronic fatigue.

I started pioneering in 1954 in Quebec when it was tough going in a hostile environment.
NH. Knorr sent many missionaries were sent there from Gilead.
Many pioneers came from Western Canada to work in Quebec.
I have been out of the WT for quite some time, from time to time I hear about some of them.
Many of them are dead, died in their fifties or so.

yesterday, the date feb 27, was named wear pink day in british columbia.
it seems a boy at a nova scotia school was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school.
two grade twelve students started a protest against bullying by buying up a bunch of pink shirts, and wearing them to school and started a trend.

Yesterday in BC, the news announcers, weatherman etc. all wore pink ties or shirts or jackets. Government leaders also were photographed wearing pink.
Everybody is tickled pink, to see a protest against bullying.

suggestions such as not letting your young children go to the toilet on their own, not working with older men on their own and not leaving children in the car on rv's and calls un attended.
the letter basically instructed the elders to remind all family heads that its their responsibility to protect their children whilst at and away from the hall etc.
Also I would like to make a "heads up" call to another possibility.
In the beginning of this thread there was discussion of where this letter was directed.
WT legal and superhonchos are not stupid. They need to stop the leak of their letters from being revealed. How do they do this. By sending this letter in a specific sequence to each congregation or country. As soon as the letter shows up on JWD, then they can trace back the time sequence to indicate what area the leak came from.

Was this letter supposed to be kept confidential like other BOE letters? Can someone make a scan of it?
All of you who have replied in this thread have touched around the reasons for this letter.
There is more depth to these instructions than meets the eye.
I have been studying the Morley v. WT case on Barbara A's CD. In this case it was alleged that the child molester as a legal representative of the WT society abuse Leanna Morley in the Kingdom Hall parking lot, and the parking lot at Tacoma Dome Assembly. This makes the WT liable for damages.
The instructions in the above BOE letter, in my opinion, is to distance the elders and ministerial servants from responsibility for any abuse. They henceforth will maintain in any future litigation that their religious teachings are that parents and only parents are responsible for the protection of their children.
This is going to backfire on them. They do not say in their letter that parents should report abuse to the authorities. JW parents are going to eventually realize that to protect their children they should go first to the authorities.
I hope that this brief comment of mine, will produce further comments.
