Why are you resurrecting an old thread? I'm having trouble believing this story. This doesn't feel right. Something is wrong somewhere in this.
Hey Tex, does the name "Danni" sound familiar? Mike, who's got some alarm bells going off as well.
calls me on the phone, he knows me from sitting in on my studies.
others notice his behavior but nothing has been done.
the other day i saw him in my movie theatre staring at me smiling.

revelation 13:18 here is wisdom.
let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred threescore and six.
so, does anybody have understanding here?
According to the Book of Raybestos, 666 is the number of the rear brake pads for some of the 90's model Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokees.

has anyone else read this series?
it's by stephen king, and according to him the center peice of just about everything he's ever written.
concepts from dozens of his books come into play, and the story is superb.
I just finished vol. 5 Wolves of the Calla last week. Best yet IMO.
You're right about most of his other books having some relation to the Dark Tower. Now in this one, one of the characters from an early book shows up (I won't say who or from where out of consideration for those who haven't read vol. 5 yet) and even a reference to himself and the book in question shows up.
I can't wait for them to finally reach the Dark Tower and find out who this Crimson King is.
But....
If Hollywood ever makes a movie out of the series (yeah right!) and they cast that same guy who played Flagg in "The Stand" to play Flagg in this one I'll never read another King book again!
Mike.
i'm considered to be very laid back but today i could have easily knocked someone on the nose for nearly causing a car accident that could have injured quite a few people, i wanted to hit the roof, perhaps its my first experience with road rage.
(or maybe the meds were wearing off...lol).. do you get it or have you been a victim?.
see ya next week, take care, oh and dont pap the horn if you see me on the road :).
I AM road rage!
hi to all who defended me on that other board.. i came home today to nine pm's, all defending me from the personal attacks on me, on another board.
i am still in shock, but i do appreciate the words of those who defended me.. one gal called me and told me she had five phone calls from others expressing shock over the way i was being maligned on the other board.. i am fine, and dealing with it.
i guess we all need to expect to be criticized.

lots of love connections have been made on this board, and its about time we made a few more!
its been almost a year since there was a thread on this, and i figure its about time for an update.. so, are you single?
if so, post a little about yourself here - perhaps there's a love connection right here on this board!.
Single.
(last post out of my limit of 10 so I'd better make this a good one)
I talked to Bridget on the phone a little while ago. I relayed everyone's thoughts to her. Also had another phone call with Spice at the 'fest and gave her the correct phone number to get in touch with Bridget (Stinkypantz, that is). Thanks so much for everyone's concern, I've passed that on to Bridget and y'all are just the greatest.
And yes, Simon and I talked on the phone for quite a while too. He's not such a bad guy actually. After all, he didn't delete the phone call hang up on me.
Mike.
p.s. oh and whoever said something about carpetbaggers.....there's yankees and there's damn yankees. I'll leave it to you to figure the difference out.
.
when passing interviews, have you ever noticed the number of questions they asked that has nothing to do with the job in question.. so what were the most stupid, ridiculous, off topic, questions they ever asked you at an interview?
You're just gonna love this one!
I was interviewing for a job with a company in Atlanta to drive a vending route. As the interview was wrapping up, the manager leaned forward and asked me one last question. "Do you have any problem working with black people?"
I said very sarcastically "not at all, I think everyone should have to work with them" and looked him straight in the eyes as I said it.
I got the job and he never said anything about "black people" to me again.
Can you believe that was in the 90's for cryin' out loud? Oh yeah right I don't want to work with "negroes". WTF, did he think I was going to turn down a job because I'd maybe have to work with -- gasp! -- blacks?
Some people! Someone ought to slap their mommas for havin' 'em!
Mike.
