  it was related to me this morning the society has instituted either a new or unofficial policy that congregations with attendance (not publisher) averages of less than 70 will be merged into the nearest congregation.

  i know of one elder who will inflate his cong.

  average to keep his "spot.

  i had an interesting conversation this weekend with an elderly sister.

  she told me about a letter she received from wt not more than a month ago.

  it seems they had a program in place where they would "hold" money that would be used in the event of your death to pay funeral arrangements.

  Urgent response needed

  a relative has been admitted to the hospital due to their blood count going from 7-4. the first hospital wanted to transfuse but a transfer was arranged to another who works with the society's hospital committee.

  they have instructed which doctor to request and the elders are standing guard.

  i'd like to find out how low can blood levels go and are there any other treatments outside of transfusion.

  this morning i rode the bus with an elder from my former circuit.

  he asked if he would see me this weekend.

  knowing my ex-jw group doesn't meet until the 21st, i told him no.

  Prince Performs!

  prince popped up as a surprise guest around midnight at in style magazine's party following sunday's awards show.

  he played guitar on "brickhouse" and his signature hit "kiss," but left the singing to the band.

  after two songs, he blew a quick kiss to the crowd and hopped off the stage.

  i was in the audience to see the play "the good faith" along with the nyc ex-jw yahoo group last week.

  this play is based on the experiences of richard and francis rawe.

  there's a song in the show entitled: "disfellowshipped and shunned.

  Doing the wave

  on my way home last night, just as i'd crossed the street and was on final approach here comes an elder and his son on the way to the meeting.

  as he spots me he gives me the wave, arm fully extended and moved left to right, back and forth, to and fro.

  i reciprocate with the same wave.. he looked like he wanted to come across the street and talk but didn't.

  Shunned at Jury Duty

  i was called for jury duty recently.

  i remember the days when the witnesses avoided this because of not wanting to "judge" people until "new light" made it ok to render this due to caesar.. i noticed a sister from my old cong.
