Do You Think If There Are More Partakers, The Society Will Get" New Lite?"
by minimus ini wonder if they'll just berate everyone that continues to partake or if they'll shift their opinion again?

i think some new lite is comming up. There is a watchtower study article in the near future about it.
The article mainly says "do we accept changes (new lite) immediately"

Your New Work *** New Light from Jehovah's Channel
by garybuss inquote: .
what a gift and to so many!
the manner of releasing the new book children was an outright surprise to all, but the almighty hand of the all-wise one, jehovah, was in it, and the maneuver was most blessed indeed.

what to make of this.
by kls inmy jw husband told me the other day he went to a car dealership and was talking to an employee there he knew, they were watching this woman walking back and forth between cars praying.my husband asked his friend what is she doing?
his friend replyed , she's been here before she is a jehovah witness, with that my husband replyed , i am a witness and we don't act like her ,praying to cars.
his friend took him inside and showed a watch tower that had been changed.

It could be a watchtower that was used in a forbidden country. I've seen this once when I visited a branch office.
The title of the magazine is not on it. Also on page 2 some parts are missing. I think only the index table is printed on page 2.

#8. I already asked a few times to have less magazines, but they refuse32, because the left overs are already so big.

Special Talk in April
by RubaDub inevery year there is a "special talk" given around the end of march or april.
having heard dozens of them over the years, i never quite figured out what was "special" about them.
certainly no "new light" or anything ... just ... well .... the same stuff.. am i correct or not in my observation ???.

I also don't know what so special about the special talk. It is just a new outline, most of the time it's a boring talk, because the brother only received it 2 or 3 months before the talk is due.
BTW this years is on April 27. The title has something to do with Babylon the Great. Full title in the Feb 2003 KM, sorry no English scans.

Paying for the Kingdom Hall
by JH inin the late 80's, our hall was built and it cost about 150,000$ canadian.
every month, we had to give a certain amount to pay for the hall.
after 3 or 4 years, we still owed 135,000 for the hall.

The last thing I heard is that they don't charge interests.

Hooked On A Kingdom Song.
by Englishman ini've just been playing back farkels rendition of his "dubsticks".
it really makes me smile, the way that he makes the melody weave in an out of "chopsticks" and then "from house to house" in a way that is so fluid that it brings to mind the almost seamless stitching together of the old "hooked on 45's" and "hooked on classics" albums of the early 80's.. so i was thinking, what kingdub songs could we weave effortlessly into existing music?
i can think of two or three right now.. "we thank you jehovah" bears more than a passing resemblance to haydns "creation" imho.. then again "keep your eyes on the pies" is almost, to my tuneless ear anyway, a carbon copy of "some day my prince will come" from the movie snow white.. finally, an old kingdub song whose name escapes me, but carrying the words "it's your commission now to preach", always puts me in mind of the main them running through wagners "lohengrin".. now i'm not suggesting for one minute that maestro farkel should work on melodies such as these for the sole purpose of our mutual tittilation.

I once heard a brothers saying that parts of the Australian national anthem sounded just like a kingdomsong, I've forgot which one.
