as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.
and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

I have a question. I was wondering if the accredidation form is something that HAD to be filled out every year, or is it something that the UN likes to have filled out to keep their records updated, but is not an out and out requirement?

i remember that when i was a witness, seeing certain phrases would trigger the response: "aha, this must be from an apostate!".
those words and phrases included:.
"the watchtower society"--because the brothers would usually just call it "the society" and because this was, of course, merely a legal instrument the brothers used to advance the preaching work.. "the governing body"--because despite the power they may wield, the governing body does stay in the background personality-wise most of the time and has done so pretty much since the days of knorr; therefore, i regarded any attempts to point to them as personally important as suspicious (and can recall being charmed in an odd way a few years ago when a brother giving a public talk was unable to recall the name of the society's current president).. "the rank and file"--obviously this was insulting because jehovah's witnesses have no clergy-laity division!

i don't know if this was discussed here before, but, what is the most ignorant comment you ever heard an elder say.
i once had an elder say to me that my brother, who was at the time fighting in vietnam will be destroyed and killed over in 'nam because he did not accept "jehovah"!!!!
i promptly told him to go "f" himself.
Wow, so sorry dung, essie, closer and to all the others hurt by such horrible insensitive remarks.
It's obvious by their actions and comments that a great deal of these men have been appointed not because of having shown christ like spirits, but because they have shown that they could jump through all the organizational hoops.
We had one older brother in our hall up in NY, who was a real zinger. Upon hearing about the upcoming nuptials of one pioneer sister in the hall, I heard him remark "Well soon we aren't going to have ANY virgins left at our hall!" yikes! This is the same brother who got into trouble for quoting (I'm not sure who? da judge perhaps?) At the beginning of one of his talks saying "The clergy are a bunch of God Damn Bastards!" Well needless to say it DID get everyones attentions that day...hehehehe. Ah, the good old days LOL
