Yes! we all love that show too. Does anyone remember when Mike Rowe used to be a host on QVC???? was funnier than heck seeing him doing this job, cause QVC was the only thing I had ever seen him in Talk about Dirty Jobs LMAOOOO Shelli

I miss the "free" food.

it used to make the conventions almost bearable.
i rememeber telling the wife and kids to not put anything in any contribution box, because as the head of the family, i had taken care of it.

Those tickets!!! Yes I remember those things. Had to stand in line and buy the tickets then go stand in line for the food. I remember when they actually used to serve hot food! At one of the Lake Placid assemblies up in NY I remember them serving up piping hot eggrolls! yummy. Then I remember right before I left they had completely stopped serving food, and at the assembly hall they had just built in Henrietta, NY, in the dining area the only seats available were for the elderly or infirmed. everyone else had to stand up around tables eating their bag lunches they had brought. Ugh

We had a Rutherford era elder at our hall, one who had spent 5 years in prison for preaching during the 1940s, get up on stage and quote Rutherford and said "the clergy are all a bunch of God damn bastards" LOL! that woke everyone up. And yes he did get a talking to :) Shelli
