phuck you and the horse you rode in on with your biggoted friends
How eloquent
what do americans in general actually really know about the big outside world outside of their own culture?.
it's certainly not just me, but for years since early childhood in fact, it has been commonly accepted by many, that americans in general are the biggest ignorant fools residing almost anywhere on the planet, yet they still do their damndest to have everyone believe what a great nation they are.
is it even beyond their comprehension how foolish they look often to the rest of the world, the fact that they have so little understanding of problems on the worldwide front?.

Amen to that! I was thinking about this last weekend as our family was making plans for the Fourth of July. I can't imagine how it must have been for the Britons to live in constant fear of the next attack during the war. I've seen representations of some of the realities of the time in many different films and television programs, but can not grasp how horrible it must have been.
Um...possibly what was being reffered to were the IRA attacks of recent years.

yeap...the original post was a great generalization, although I am aware of more than a few people who may share in its sentiments, if in a less colorful and upfront language. He does voice the opinion of a percentage of the worlds population just as you voice a different percentage with your own opinion. Any opinion that differs from ones own may be considered provocative. I see many inflamed people speaking of being sick of the generalizations made about americans and then continuing with the words 'europeans' or just 'you people'. You are now just as guilty of your own.
And when can we get over the whole 'we saved your asses in the war' thing. Can you beleive i actually had kids yelling that at me in the halls in high school. Can you understand where the notion may come from that Americans are ignorant and arrogant when that's what's being taught to 'their' children?
Lastly, and i've posted this already,I appologize if you've already read it, stating negative opinions about the U.S. should not automatically trigger the label of 'anti-american'. You'd think those looking at ways to improve the country would be considered the MOST american.
I know...I was just kidding. I realise it's just recorded from the tele but if you reaaaaaaalllyyyyyyy want the episodes it might be a viable option.
so how small does your "pee pee" have to be to stoop to bashing america on a jw support board?.
feeling rather put upon for america's sake, living in new york city, feeling like bashing in the brains of anyone who says that americans going about their daily routines "brought this (9/11) upon themselves".
i will always remember the day i looked out my window at work and saw over 3,000 people dying..
Why is it that any negative statement about the U.S. makes a person anti-american? Those who wish improvment of their country would seem to be the MOST american in my eyes. How can anything improve if critisism is automatically labeled instead of considered? But i forgot, the U.S. is infalible.
your point being...

do people in their existance create much more greif inadvertantly that they cause happiness with purpose?
an action that can seem so small to one person or a desision made with selfish intent can have effects without the action taker or desicion maker even considering or realising it.
selfishness or self absorbation; we focus so much on us that the reprocusions of every little thing we do become inconsequential as long as we or those we care about are 'safe'.. when i was little in the car i would make up stories about people we drove past based on that split second they passed through my life.
But if people are so selfish that they don't even think of the consequences of their actions on others then they learn nothing nor have a harder time living with themselvs. Or they do realise the consequences but since they aren't directly affected or this evil was a lesser evil to them than an alternative, they don't feel badly about their desision or rather don't beleive it to be a bad desision as long as they're O.K. erggggh...it just angers me alot that ultimately people are selfish creatures.

A "good person" is one that recognizes that the most important person in his/her life is him/herself.
So as long as what you do benefits you it doesn't matter who you hurt along the way? That doesn't sound like a 'good' person to me.
My reason for writing this whole thing is someone did something out of their own personal issues that has put us in a less than desirable place and I'm angry about it so, being me, I am trying to see it from the offenders point of view. Most of the 'bad' i see exists within me too and if I'm able to recognise it then maybe i can remember what it's like to feel like this and prevent myself from creating this pain in someone else.
