Victims of "political repression"
by biblexaminer inpolitical repression is the persecution of an individual or group within society for political reasons, particularly for the purpose of restricting or preventing their ability to take part in the political life of a society thereby reducing their standing among their fellow citizens.[1][2].
so, the governing bastards feel that putin is trying to keep jehovah's witnesses out of politics.
interesting.... all the russians had to do is to ask watchtower one question.

Dreary. You seem to work very hard at making others look stupid and yourself smart.
Also, you left stuff out.
The basis for the term "political repression " cannot be reduced to mere "repression" of any sort and then applied willy nilly.
I can't go fight a speeding ticket with the defense that the act of fining me was "political repression".
Repression is the act of subduing someone by institutional or physical force. Political violence is a particular form of repression involving the use of physical force to achieve political goals.
You conveniently left material out in an effort to twist "political repression " to suit your argument. This is exactly what the WT boys tried, and failed, to do in Russia.
Your quote comes from an article on "Political Science".
As hard as you try to eliminate the "politics" from the sentence, the more prominent the word becomes.

I find it amusing that the Watchtower was working to be designated as "victims of political repression".
One cannot be "politically neutral" and be politically repressed.

All the Russians had to do is to ask Watchtower one question. "Do you feel that you have been politically marginalized, that Russia is trying to prevent your participation in Russian politics?"
I'd like to have seen the looks on their faces. What could they say? "No, we are politically neutral?" Ha. Then the court would say "then you cannot be a victim of political repression!"
And if WT boys answer "Yes" then they are not politically neutral.
Alway the hypocrisy...
What evidence could Watchtower boys present to the court to show that the Russian State is trying to prevent Jehovah's Witnesses entry into Russian politics?

Apologists saying that the JWs shouldn't be banned, what the hell!??
by Crazyguy init's been brought to my attention that there are xjw that say they support the witnesses and don't think russia should ban them.
i would just like to remind all of you that jws are guilty of murder, causing higher rates of suicide, covering up child molestation, and keeping members in prisoned because if they leave they loose family, financial support, possible employment etc.. sure their not strapping bombs to their chests but they easily get members to kill themselves with their blood policies.
they are an extremist group!

Dreary. You say Watchtower will not change its way because of a ban. You are not correct.
Just the threat of such things made them join/associate with the UN.
In this particular court case, they are seeking to be declared a "victim of political repression".
Wowser!! You cannot be "politically neutral" AND suffer "political repression" at the same time.
You must first be viewed as having a "political position" or "party" before you can be designated as suffering "political repression".
No changes huh?

Dreary.
So I understand you to support watchtower trampling my right to practice my religion and exercise free speech....
"Banning religions does not take away any authority. "
Ah, hell yes it does. If they are banned then they can't cause me to be shunned. And if I sue their sorry backside for defamation then the judge isn't going to site religious privilege to avoid getting involved.

Witnesses are already doubting their "faith", and they don't even realize it in most cases.
...and they seem to want to try to convince others, really trying to convince themselves.

I'm willing to wait and see Blues. But I have a hard time believing a ban will have the same effect today.
Today's dubs...
Don't want to work, lazy bunch.
Don't want to suffer.
Skip houses in FS.
Don't ring or knock in FS, walk quietly on the porch to avoid contact.
Shy away from spreading the WT doctrine.
Skip FS.
Skip meetings.
Cancel meetings for half an inch of snow.
Don't put money in the box.
Live double lives.
Drink too much.
Have no Bible knowledge.
Don't sincerely believe WT dogma.
Are separated from one another, overly private.
Get blood transfusions in secret.
I am sure others can add.
These are not the dubs of Rutherford.

Flow Through Authority
When a 'higher up' grants to an underling a level of 'authority', that underling's 'authority' belongs to the higher up, and that 'authority' merely flows through the underling to whomever that underling should apply that 'authority'.
If that underling should abuse that authority, then the higher up should take away that authority.
The government grants to incorporated religions a level of authority. When religions abuse that authority, it needs to be taken away.
Watchtower uses its granted authority to persecute fellow believers. It uses that authority to implement "thought control" and it uses that authority to enforce "shunning" of whistleblowers.
This is an abuse of the authority granted. It needs to be removed.
