Days of the week
by DannyBloem inas jw's always believed that the days of the week came from god, this is probably not true.
the week is a pagan symbol.. that a week has seven days can best be explained by astronomy.
there are 7 heavenly bodies: sun, moon, and 5 visible planets.

Isn't it the Mennonites who do not use traditional names for days of the week? Instead they say 'first day, second day, and so on. I think it's them. no time to research it today. my only point is they at least stay true to the 'no pagan' theme.
I believe the quakers do this

Ha Ha...The Cop Didn't Stop Me!

lol...i just dropped lucifer off at work in our industrial park and as i was ramping on the highway (the highway speed on that road is only 70 km an hr) i was going 120 km an hour, that is about 80 miles per hr in the states, anyway i looked in the rearview mirror and a cop was coming up behind me, he pulled up beside me and i gave him a wink and lol...he just kept going!

anyone have/had this problem?
by lonelysam inim nearly 19, im right in the middle of leaving the borg, and i dont really know how to say this, (this is gunna sound stupid) but.. i havnt had a girlfriend for over 3 years, am still a virgin, and feel as if im never going to find the right girl for me, because i still beleive in sex after mariage.
not to mention i dont know where i stand on the whole bible thing.
now i know 19 is very young to be looking for a sort of 'serious' relationship, but im starting to feel a bit lonely, anyone have simalar problems after you left?

i know what you mean about sitting on the fence, but its not a religous thing as much for me, i just dont think its right personaly
That's good then. A lot of witnesses start sleeping around, doing drugs, smoking and stuff like that when they first leave the org (myself included). Its good that you can think for yourself.

I wandered away from the org when i was nearly 25, it took me nearly a year before I got used to the idea that I wasn't a practicing dub anymore and so could therefore go and sleep around.
Jesus said something about running hot or cold but not being lukewarm, I realised you can't sit on the fence and I got on with my life

Top dog----------------
by vitty inim not sure where to put this ,so if you want to move i dont mind................ anyway, my dog is 10 and is a cute little male.
but as he is also spoilt he thinks hes the alpha male in the house.
since we moved house hes become a real pain, barking at anything that passes, forcing me to take him for a walk when he wants to and wont wait (following me, whinning, staring at the door) in the end i do take him even if its inconvient, just to make him stop.. hes even starting to be reluctant when i want him to go in the utility room, where he sleeps, and i though he was going to bite me, hes never done that before.
