  Are JWs the Ultimate Modern Suicide Cult?

  jws lives are regularly put on the line by their religious beliefs or by the rules made by the wtbts.. if they become sick or injured they cannot accept for themselves or their loved one a blood transfusion that may save their lives.. if they live in an intolerant society, they may not purchase simple papers that could prevent them being tortured or murdered.. they go regularly to the homes of strangers and speak to total strangers and risk life and limb.

  some have died because of this very practice.. so, are jws the ultimate modern suicide cult?.

  i can't think of any religion, other than the suicide bombers of islam, that believe strongly in martyrdom, as the jws do.. how many jws could be dying every day because of the wtbts instructions?.

  go home and kill your wife and your childeren, knowing that this was the last test would you do it. I was told yes they would by everyone of them.

  Does your JW baptism still mean anything to you?

  all i know is that jesus said to get baptized.

  he didn't say in what religion though.. although i don't go to meetings anymore and don't plan on going anymore, i'm still glad that i was baptized.

  Underground vaults of Edinburgh

  the travel channel aired a show, "most haunted" featuring the city walks and horribly, macabre underground vaults of edinburgh.

  supposedly the poor lived beneath the streets in caves and caverns where robbery and murder took place.

  the ghosts said to roam the underground rooms are angry and agressive with visitors, sometimes touching, pushing, or calling their names.

  Haha, Matt! They showed some "excellent" shops where a Yankgirl such as myself can buy a (sniffs) uh, plaid, er, Tartan!

  Grrrrrrrr *Shakes fist in a grumpy old man way again* hmmm maybe you should visit those kilt shops and ask to see some boaby too. lol

  Oh those shops are all Rubbish !!! selling rubbish at really expensive prices. Theres a huge tartan mill at the top of the royal mile that is one HUGE tourist trap you can buy everything in your clan tartan in there and even have your picture taken in the full kit, complete with claymores .

  If you REALLY want a kilt head over to Glasgow, the people are so much nicer and down to earth and go off to a decent tailors and get yourself suited up.

  Seriously though If you do come over do visit Glasgow, if you're into hiking do the West Highland Way, see Loch Lomond, get drunk to the piper at the Drovers inn in Inverarnan, visit Glen Coe, get wet, feed the midges, get chased by feral goats in the highlands and bloody well enjoy yourself :)

  Mine was about serving Jehovah, not the org. I always had issues with the org but kept them quiet. For me serving Jehovah wasn't just about Field service it was about being as good a bloke as I could. I might not stick to all the rules today but I still try to be a good bloke.

  Scotsman will tell you im sure <g>, the places are tourist traps. There are dozens of places like this around the Royal Mile in Edin. Some do the "ooo sppoky walkabout" thing and others tend to focus on the history around these buried streets. If you are into social history go, if its the ghosty thing, save your money because the only thing spooky down there is some poor student in a monks habit making groaning noises to scare yanks.

  Perham said he would like to help more people who are not Jehovah's Witnesses but added, "You gotta look after your family. You can't take care of everyone in the world."
