First, for buffalosrfree, I have never been a Witness ( please check bio ) . I think shunning is one of the most hateful things the Witnesses do and there is no excuse for it , no matter what they say. To turn away one's family does nothing but break hearts in the shunned and builds pretentiousness in the shunner . . . it's a lose-lose situation. My comment was about forgiveness and I stand by it. It doesn't matter what anyone has done; if they are truly repentent God will forgive them. Why won't man ?

he was sentenced for selling pot to the highschool girls he coached for soccer and for sleeping with underage girls.

The John Denver Issue, vote now.
by londoner inthis is for those of you who sent me a private message saying you dont believe me, your letting your old jw traits come out, you know, not believing things when the facts stare you in the face unless it comes from the org.
maybee you should go back and re join them.. to confirm what happened .
i was at a john denver concert in the uk many years ago, he asked all catholics to stand up, after he got them seated he did the same with church of england, then the same with a couple of other religions, after he asked all jw's to stand up he announced that the concert would not go on untill they had all left and he then left the stage.

for those of you who dont know what i'm on about it's regarding my post "the john denver issus, vote now" .
having been subjected to 50 yrs of preducial abuse while i was a jw can have a pretty lasting effect towards some of the people who were responsible for dishing it out, you should have been at the concert it made me feel sick.
