Hibiscusfire . . .I'm with you 100% on this one. Removing Christ from Christmas creates a non- Christian and non-religious innuendo in people. If one isn't a Christian don't celebrate the holiday.

Could You Stay Friends With Someone Who Visited Prostitutes?
by Englishman ina while back, an aquaintance of mine told me that he liked to visit prostitutes.
although we weren't that close, i'd worked on and off with him over the years.
i knew his wife too and would often see her around town.. he'd told me that when he had something to celebrate, like his birthday or maybe a commercial win, he and a pal of his would do the pubs and clubs first and then go kerb crawling until they found a pair of street girls who would play the swopsy's scene.

Yes, we differ on this subject. I feel that if a man or a woman were having ' an affair' then THAT is when the partner should find out ( if one was going to make it their business, which I would not ). An affair can involve deep feelings, ie. caring, thoughtfulness, even true love; those are the real transgressions against the wronged mate. That's the stuff that destroys families.

It seems that the point of this thread has taken a new direction and people have introduced the STD problem. That is not what Englishman intended . . .that's a different subject. We can " what if" any subject, thus changing and clouding the issue.
Flying, don't you realize the havoc you would cause in that family if you told the wife. I think that if you truly want to help, and feel it's your business to do something, why don't you talk to the husband?

Flying . . .You want to set a trap that may result in the ruination of this husband's and wife's ( and kids if there are any) lives?

Who here gives to the homeless?
by JW83 ini'm interested in how many here give to the homeless, or any kind of charity, since that was not a part of the witness experience.
i have to admit that my heart is hard ...

There are some real cold people on this board. Maybe you all should go back to ' witnessing' for the Society.

Yes, IMHO, you are being very priggish. This man considers you a friend and confided in you as a friend. You certainly don't have to accept or agree to what he's doing, however, by casting him aside you see yourself as ' better ' than him.
Out of control egos cause a lot of problems in this world.

Are You A Male Chauvenist?
by Legolas inare you the type of guy that has to drive even if it is your wife's car?
my husband is not.
we both have our own, but my husbands drives a truck, so going to the meetings i nearly always drove because it is my vehicle, i was never talked to about this, but from the 'looks' i got from the elders i know i would have been if we were still there!

No wonder women can't find mates . . .at least of the opposite sex.
