From what I have read about evolution I have only seen it stated as a theory, not a fact, and is subject to be proved and disproved. I have no problem being a christian and believing that evolution has it's place in nature.

Smurf away
by damselfly inas a wee damselfly in the late 70's/early 80's i loved the smurfs!
i watched the show and had the coloring book and the little plastic figures.
then some jw kid had a nightmare, it was taken as demonism and my smurfs were taken away!

My parents made me tear up a book once that I had bought from the little book club mags we got at school. I think it was about witches but I dont remember because I never got to read the book. Now I read whatever the hell I want and I have never encountered a demon.

Should dubs be hanging out in casinos?
by unbeliever inmom and i went to have a bite to eat at one of her favorite restaurants which is in a casino.
lo and behold as we were leaving in walks 5 of her dub friends who were going to eat at the same place.
she was talking and talking and i got tired of standing there being ignored so i walked away and started playing the slots which was well in their eye site.

My parents (esp my father) love casinos. It was so ironic that during the Christmas holidays we would take a family vacation to Reno and play the slots. lol

Why are pigs "unclean" and what does "unclean" mean?
by Elsewhere inthere are several religions that teach that pork is an "unclean" meat and therefore should be avoided.. what, exactly, does "unclean" mean?
when i think of "unclean" i think of something contaminated by dirt or dangerous bacteria.
is there some other "spiritual" substance in pigs that cannot be detected?.
