tired of waiting for armageddon
by embeth2525 ini am really tired of waiting for the other side of armageddon to feel better.
i have'nt felt very well for years, with fibromyalgia and depression and other things.
my friend who is a baptised jw tells me the only way we will ever feel any better is to wait for the other side of armageddon.

Welcome! I feel the same way! I love natural medicine! I have a naturepath! He's great! He and his wife have helped me with so many of my health problems. Alot of them are gone due to seeing them. I would highly recommend it to anybody. Some are better than others, of course. That's pretty much common knowledge, I think. I'm glad it's helped you! RH

Hi y'all!!! I was talking to my best friend tonite! I was telling her about this forum and how I've met really nice people here who I can relate to. We have been friends for a very long time so she knows my JW history. I was telling her how to discourage JW's from coming to her door and we were having a good laugh about it! Well no lie, she says to me! Oh when I see somebody coming down the street with papers and a cheap suit I know it's JW's and I just don't answer the door! I was LMAO! Papers and a cheap suit. I said, that is priceless. I'll have to remember that! I recall somebody saying something about cheap suits in a thread and it made me laugh so hard. She hates JW's because she has seen all the crap they've put me through in life. Anyways I thought it was funny and I thought I'd share it with you for a laugh. It's free, right!!!! RHCP

Did you pray because you felt like it or because you were told to?
by JH inwitnesses pray many times a day.
at the field service, at the meetings, before each meal and even more.. i don't know if you're like me, but i didn't pray because i felt like it, but because i was told to.. personally, 1 long honest prayer a week would have been much better than 20 routine prayers.
did you feel that it was natural to pray 3 times a day or more?.

This is really bad but I didn't like praying before meals. I was starving. I wanted to eat now. I would sit there through the prayer and feel like it was going on and on and on! My food is getting cold, let's eat. I like my dad's prayer! " Good food, good meat, good LORD, let's EAT"!!!!! I did pray in the evening before bed. This was my heartfelt prayer. I feel bad now because I always went to Jehovah with so many problems. I used to feel bad. He must get tired of hearing about everyones problems in the whole world. I really don't envy his position. I wouldn't want to be GOD. That's too intense for me! Can you imagine? I think in answer to your question I probably prayed more because I was told to. I tried to have a relationship with God but it never came naturally to me. It never felt real. I've always had my doubts. I'm a visual kind of person. I want to see God at least once anyway. Give me a sign or something before my prayers are going to be heartfelt and real! I don't know if that makes any sense. He has the ability, so why does he keep it from us! What's the big secret! RHCP

Would YOU Have Not Taken Blood When You Were a JW???
by minimus ini'm sure i would not have taken blood or given permission to my child if she "needed" it.
my, my, how things have changed!

I refused blood at the birth of my first son! It was hell. The doctor didn't like JW's so he pretty much told my parents to start praying for me. That I was going to die. The elders came down, did their thing. I was rushed to a different hospital where they took really good care of me. I was pressured by everybody to take blood. I had to write out my will. Ask my sister and her husband if they would adopt, take care of my son while I was in labour. That was something else. My worldly friends were there because believe it or not I was out of the ORG. at the time but was so programmed that I still wouldn't take the blood. My sister and my mom were totally ready to watch me die. I can't believe it to this day. I was at coma level. My platelets were so low. I told my Dad, It's ok Daddy I'm ready to Die. I was barely 20 years old. My dad starting bawling his eyes out and begged me to take blood. I said NO Dad. I can't. But here I am today. Feisty as ever and telling my story like many others. If my kids were dying, would I give them blood now. Probably, yes. It would depend on the circumstances, but I'm not going to sit back and watch my babies fade to nothing, death. I'm going to fight with everything I have for their life. I respect all of you who didn't take blood because it is a really hard test! HUGS RHCP XOXO

Hi, I feel for you! It does sound like post pardom depression to me as well. What is the weather like right now in your area. Is it really dreary. That can have a big affect on ones mood as well. When I had my daughter we tried going back to meetings and it only made my depression worse. There is alot of pressure and deadlines in the truth/Org. Do you think that going to meetings 3 times a week and trying to go out in service with your little one is going to help your situation. They will probably encourage you to have a bible study as well. That will be really hard with your baby. You will feel alot of pressure. That is how I felt. It seriously pushed me over the edge. I had a nervous break down from it. Post pardom depression is a serious thing. You need to take care of yourself. I would suggest some down time by yourself if possible. It only has to be once a week. You don't have to go to the Kingdom Hall to be close to God. Pray! He is there to listen to you any time. You don't need a bunch of Jehovah's Witnesses to tell you that. Meetings, with the baby crying. Think about it. STRESS!!!!! Your husband doesn't want this. It will cause division in your marriage. I would have a serious talk with him about it. You don't need to talk to us girl, you need to talk to your man. Be close to him. Talk! It's ok. Don't be afraid to tell him how you feel! For me I found that the Jehovah's Witnesses sucked the life out of me. Instead of giving me a hope of life, they sucked it out of me. I finally feel like I'm getting my life back. It really is refreshing. ((((Hugs)))) RHCP, all the best to you and in your decision!

Hi Brenda: Picking your first tree! It sounded so special. That's not what stuck my attention though. I noticed you mentioned sailing friends. Do you still go sailing alot. The reason I ask is that I grew up on sail boats. My Grandma and Grandpa had a 32 footer. We used to sail with them all the time. We would go on summer vacations on their boat. My uncles had boats as well. They both lived on their sail boats at one point or another as sailing is so much in our blood. I just took my daughter down to the docks not too long ago and showed her some nice sail boats. There was a really nice Navy blue and white one. It had a dinghy on it as well. I would guess that it was about 50 ft long. It was a nice boat. You could easily live on this one. They were restoring another boat as well. They had the fans drying it out and everything. Once sailing is in your blood, it's always there to stay. Kind of like Xmas. I celebrated it as a kid and I always missed it when we stopped. Enjoy your Xmas and your sailing journeys on the wide ocean. love RHCP. They are both a beautiful and heartwarming experience with the right people! Even alone, I find!

I have got the same response as Candidlynuts. My family has said that it is from apostates. I have stated that it is a stamped letter head etc. It's not from an apostate site. They just find some way to excuse it away, usually by changing the subject. It's pathetic. I don't even bother anymore. I am biding my time.
