I've gotten sunburned so bad when I was a kid playing at the beach, this was before sunscreen! Anyway I had sun poisoning and was very sick. I couldn't stand any thing to touch my skin, no clothes and spent most of my time in the tub soaking in cold water with vinegar. It was awful, I blistered and peeled all over for weeks! And I'm dark skinned I hardly ever burn.

Spirituality without Faith- Is It Possible?
by nvrgnbk inspirituality without faith.
what would it mean to naturalize spirituality?
how can naturalism inspire spiritual experience and provide us with a satisfying cognitive context within which to address our ultimate concerns?

We Are Dying!
by WeAreDying-Ophelia inthis is my first post and might be my only post, not sure.
i've chosen to "come out" for a moment just to talk about the 30 minute change in the public talk on sundays.
my father and brother are both elders, this change was a blow to them they enjoy giving encouraging public talks to the friends.

There's an older sister in our hall who is like a grandmother to me, she's in her eighties. I trust her and confide in her all the time. I told her I was thinking of coming here and she told me to go ahead and try it. She said I might be surprised. She was right. I held my breath for a couple hours now just waiting to see what would happen all that did happen though was that I received a welcome and some fellow feeling. Thank you.
She did say though that the best thing was to taste and leave. I wish the world could be what we all wish it could be. I wish we could all be good friends. I wish there was no wars and everyone had enough food and a good home to live in. I wish many things!
I wish the Society would give us more food and spiritual clothing to cover ourselves. I wish I were a man and maybe then I could make changes for the better.
Well, good night everybody. One last wish! Wish I could meet some of you! My "grandmother" would say though, "enough wishin' girl time to get some sleep."
May Jehovah's blessing be upon everyone here.
Surprised and comforted,
Ophelia
Fairy tails can come true they can happen to you if you wish real hard......
*bump* %#%*! hey stop that I was just a wishin'..........my granny used to say "child nothing comes of those who don't get on with it and make it happen"..............and now real life begins.

Get a hobby, but don't enjoy it too much. Try scrapbooking maybe. Something it's impossible to get too passionate about.
That's so cruel!
Welcome to JWD Ophelia!
Anyone here still in and wondering like I am? If so, have you heard anymore about this from the elders in your hall? Several of us are feeling that the Society is out of control. What that means we don't really know except that all we can do is wait and hang on to one another.
My congregation is dying and we are not the only ones.
Sit back girl, kick your shoes off and READ!
You are right about one thing the JW's religion as you've known it is dying, but that's not the bad news and the good news is that you won't die in some make believe Armageddon right around the corner.
Hey it was right around the corner when I was 17, just getting married, then it was coming in 1975 when I was way pregnant (woe to the pg woman), then it was right around the corner when my kids were graduating HS and it's still right around the corner and my granddaughter is in HS.
Still waiting.......I suggest you get informed and get on with your life before you waste it waiting on Jehober. Have fun life is for the living not the waiting to live in a paradise new earth™.

i joke on here alot and try to lighten the mood, but, that's to keep me from screaming. i'm at a point where i really want to help people.
Humor is the best medicine! Along with crying it's also an emotional release. Many of the great comedians were/are people who are suffering from tragic lives, they find it easier to laugh than to cry.......eventually we all cry, sometimes we laugh until we cry.
But I'm rambling.....must be the meds, LOL.
g'nite kiddo!

Yikes! Simply ask yourself knowing what you know about her would you recommend her as good girlfriend material to anyone? If the answer is yes then by all means keep her, it the answer is no........
From my experience and my own personal preference relationships with someone you love and who claims to love you should not be difficult on any level especially on an emotional one.
I wish you luck!

Do you look forwards, backwards or sideways?
by mtsgrad inmorning faders, da's df's and current witnesses,.

I find it's much easier to walk with one step in front of the other facing the way I want to go, try walking forward and looking backward it will trip you up everytime. Life is the same way.
We can't change the past we can learn from it and create our future wisely.
Happy trails!

She lived nearby me when I was in California and was often on local programing. She was quite a generous person IRL regardless of her looks I did feel she had a heart of gold and genuinely cared about people. The local community took her in at one of the worst times in her life and she really thrived there and gave back in a big way with local charities.
It's truly not the person's looks that matter it's the person inside lots of time the outer layer is a mask to hide behind for fear of whatever??? She died a pitiful death I wish she didn't have to go like that, no one should have to suffer with such a painful illness.
RIP Tammy you were love by most and talked about by many you did make an impression during your short life, more than most of us.
