((((((((((((((((((((((((Trevor)))))))))))))))))))))))
awesome movie i loved it.
i saw it with a 27 year old and a 35 year old and they were awestruck!
there are a lot of subtleties in it.
Gopher I actually can't wait to buy the DVD so I can catch more of the hidden nuances in the movie, it moves so fast and far.
Like I said I saw it with my kids (boys) they surprisingly liked the musical aspect of it and they both were surprised that it held their interest all the way through. All three of us kept wondering when they would finally play Lucy In the Sky with Diamonds! LOL We found we weren't the only ones because when it FINALLY played others in the audience said FINALLY!
Did you catch the Janis Joplin look alike? How about Jimi Hendrix look alike? And cameos of Joe Cocker, of course Bono, Eddie Izzard and I think I saw a rendition of Billy Preston? Gawd I want to see it again just to pick out some of these artist of my era! There was so much more it all escapes me now.
My boys related to the whole 70's Vietnam protesting stuff too that really blew me away. Anyway cool movie and I think it was even better for me being with my kids and seeing their reaction, we talked about for a long time afterward.
as far as i know, henninges produced two books in german: "das unerschutterliche reich" (the unshakeable empire) and "die neue zeit" (the new time).. when i saw a copy of the former book in the 1970s, i photocopied the intro and contents pages, as well as the time chart.
i have provided a scan (420k) of those pages at:.

I finally figured it out Doug. <slaps forhead, d'oh>
I don't know German but I will show this to my husband who does have an understanding of German and perhaps tomorrow he will be able to give you a reply.

I went to the link you provided and could't figure out how to get to the file......I'm a bit challenged with the technical stuff so I'm sure it's there I just can't figure it out.
Anyway have you tried http://babelfish.altavista.com/
ok, because flipper brought up the beatles, i have to bring up the "anti- beatles".
i always preferred the rougher, raw edge of the stones, and the more guitar driven sound with a swaggering, swinging beat.. i'll go with tumbling dice, keith here was at the peak of his addictions and still came up with one of the coolest riffs.
anything from the micktaylor era is fabulous in my opinion, but sticky fingers and exile on main street are my favorite albums..
As Tears Go By
