And, he recently tied the knot. Dang honeymooners!
Good grief! That man has time for a wife?
barbara was seeking contacts in other nations so this may have been to confirm that something going on was and is going on internationally.
this means that the "evidence" she needed and had was focused on the u.s. branch so that she needed the confirmation for other nations as well.
meanwhile bill bowen was gone an unusually long period of time from his website.

if i told you that something bigger is on the horizon than dateline, bbc, cbc, sunday (australia), and all other tv programs which exposed the sexual child abuse cover-up by watchtower in 2002-2003, would you believe me?
have i ever misled you?
i'll answer that--no!
Would you rather die believing a lie all your life than knowing the truth?Frankly Nos, I believe many would.Gumby
I agree. They've invested so much into the lie, that living Truth would just be too much to bear. I feel that my parents are some of those people. I'd like nothing more in this world than to see my parents and younger brothers escape. But I fear that will never happen. My parents although intelligent and having shared in more than one instance of the WT's conditional love, don't have the emotional stamina it will take to escape successfully. Perhaps my faith is small, but I don't have a lot of hope for them.

If there is international collusion in international child molestation, somebody can act internationally, at the the minimum to remove the tax exempt status of the nonprofit group in collusion.
Interesting. Veddy, veddy, interesting.

I hate to be the wet rag on the party, but I'm pretty skeptical about how Big this is going to be. To reiterate undercover's comments:
If this "big news" is released in book form, it doesn't matter if a JW, former JW, non-JW or a 2nd cousin twice removed from a JW wrote it, it will not make an impact upon most current JWs. They are too indoctrinated to avoid any and all negative information regarding the WTS, whether it comes from former JWs or outsiders of the JW community. In their view, if an ex-JW wrote it (or promoted it) then it's just sour grapes and hatred. If a non-JW wrote, then it's clear that they just don't get it because they don't have Jehovah's spirit and have misunderstood the whole premise of the religion.
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think another tell-all book is going to make much of an impact.
I hate to do it, but I'll have to agree.
i just returned home from the kingdom hall.
i am an elder.. after the meeting all the elders were called to the back room.
i thought this was an impromptu elders' meeting.
What about that scripture in Timothy that says an elder (or MS) must manage his household well? When my dad stepped down as an MS, it was so he could "control" me. When he presented that scripture, the elders backed off. I don't think it's so much that you are showing more loyalty to your family (which is their fear), but that you are prioritizing your life scripturally. How can they dispute that? How can the CO dispute that?
.
funny t-shirt i found.
maybe this should be in the "adult" section?.
Ew!
this weekend mozz and i went out of town to visit some of his family.
this morning on our way back home, we decided to meet some of them at a little truck stop restaurant to have breakfast.
we got there and noticed this little dog outside of the front door.
Can anyone tell us how to get him to quit chasing after our cats? Our female will stand up to him and swat, as much as she can swat with declawed paws. But I'm afraid our little tenderhearted male is not so assertive. Any ideas?

Yesterday we took the little guy to the vet. The vet said he's definately a boxer mix with some pit. He's 50 lbs and about 10 lbs under weight. He said outside of a few fleas and hookworms, he's in really good health. Heartworm and mange tests negative. He got treated for hookworms, heartworm prevention, given a handful of cookie vitamins, and a nice warm flea bath last night. He slept in his kennel all night in the living room and didn't fuss a bit. This little guy is really well-behaved. Even the vet said he was impressed with how mellow he is for being a stray. He poked and prodded him over every inch of his body and the pup just stood there and took it. So far he hasn't pottied in the house either, so we're really keeping our fingers crossed. We're training him to ring a bell on the doorknob for when he wants to go outside. My husband wants to keep him, but doesn't want to call him Bo. He responds to the name, so it's sticking for now.
Here's a shot of him making himself at home. Cutie, huh?

This dog needs some help getting fattened up. So last night we fixed 1 1/2 cups puppy chow with low sodium chicken broth and 1/2 cup breakfast sausage. He gobbled it down along with two biscuits. He went straight back to his kennel and went back to sleep, where he slept silently all night long. We had a heating pad on the top of his kennel, so he was warm. He woke us up this morning at 7:30 barking at the neighbors cat (who I hate!) who was trying to get into our yard. (I would love this dog to keep that damn cat out of our yard!) So I made him another bowl of the same chow this morning. Again, gobbled it down with two biscuits. He's quietly playing with a Kong filled with peanut butter.
Couple things that we've realized about him that we like...
We think he's part AmStaff (pit bull), so we're impressed with the fact that he is not aggressive in any way. My little Maltese just ignores him when he sniffs her, but she's snapped at him a time or two. He always backs off then. He seems to know his limits.
*sigh*
We can't find anything behaviorally wrong with this little guy. He's making it hard to decide what to do with him. We have an appointment at the vet today at 2:00 to see how his health is. Hopefully, he'll have a clean bill of health.

Oh my goodness I feel like a new mother. This guy is so adorable and it scares me to death that we might be keeping him. I'm already worrying about a million things. Will he be warm enough outside? Is he getting enough to eat? Do we have the money to keep him? Will my cats be okay with him? Will he get much bigger? How much does it cost to neuter? Are there clinics to do it for free? Does he have any health issues? What if we can't get him to behave? What if he gets my other animals sick? Will he miss his old friends back home? Is he scared by himself in the backyard? How do we housetrain a 6 - 9 month old puppy? Is it too late to put him in obedience classes? Will he tear things up when he's by himself?
Arggh. How on earth am I going to handle a CHILD?!?!?!
