I love my kids and they still love me. The “M” word has been brought up to me a few times since the “D” word ended the last “M”. I just realized a few years back that it wasn’t fair for me to enter into another relationship where the “M” word might come up again and I would have to kill myself. Suicide is illegal in Oregon and they can arrest you for that.

Oprah, James Frey and the call for TRUTH

i don't know if you have been following the story about james frey, author of a million little pieces, how the book was inducted into oprah's book club last fall, with him making an appearance on the show, proclaiming the "memoir" as completely true and unaltered.

she even delayed announcing her next book club selection by six weeks to give this book more publicity.. some investigation by the smoking gun revealed that many of the accounts in the book were embellished beyond any recognition of truth.

for example, the incident where frey claims to have been in jail for 3 months, was actually only a matter of hours.

It's funny how "split-personalitied" I am on some things. I'm not really a neat person. But there are things that I am very anal about. I LOVE to organize and I should buy stock in The Container Store. Some things I'm anal about...

I MUST have plastic clothes hangers in my closet. No metal at all. White hangers for my casual clothes and green hangers for my dressy clothes, of course, separated into the two sections in my closet. All same item clothing next to each other, organized by color. When I do laundry, it is a very rule-based chore for me.
I MUST use special plastic containers in my kitchen to hold all my gluten-free pastas, flours, baking goods. I don't like all those half-opened bags messing up my pantry. And they have to be a certan line of plastic containers, Decor Tellfresh, from Australia. (I get them at the Container Store.)

I just find it odd that I MUST do some things a certain way, but when it comes to other things in life...ahh...whatever.

Is there anything that you MUST do, not for any particular reason other than that's how you WANT them? Is it a non-negotiable for you?

Making a good informed decision is always a good idea. But I think you might need to tweak your delivery and read up a bit on women. Women don't ask questions like that unless they're feeling insecure about themselves. So I ask the question that has been asked already: Why are you living with this lady, basically "committing" to her, when you aren't sure you want to keep her forever? If I were her, I'd leave you in a heartbeat. Don't string a girl along. It's disrespectful and sets a bad example for your child. Do you really want to teach him that it's okay to live with a lady you don't really love or know if you love?

Sorry to be harsh. But I've been in your woman's shoes before and it's a crappy situation to be in. It was heartbreaking and the reason for my second suicide attempt in 2000.

I got to visit this vineyard when I did a very quick Napa tour. I agree - wonderful!

I've done that tour. By the time you get from one end to the other and "sampling" all the various wines.....yer bout half baked!

It was when I worked for the pharmaceutical company and we were in Napa for our quarterly meeting. There were about 10 of us and we rented a limo. The only way to go in my opinion! Had a blast! But yes, we felt good by the time dinner came around.
