  church service joke

  an elderly couple was attending a church service, when about halfway through she leans over and says,

  i just had a silent fart.

  he replies, put a new battery in your hearing aid.

  i don't know if i was missed, but is't good to be back!

  i really missed most of you (and even the assholes)!to make a long story short, my boyfriend moved in with me about thanksgiving.

  he got back into dealing and everything else.

  seasonal affectiveness disorder.

  february is an especially hard month for me every year.

  it is a little worse than winter blues.. for me the lack of energy seems to be the most dominating symptom.

  YES! January and February are terrible months for me. It never really dawned on me that it was SAD, until one year my doctor recommended that I hit a tanning salon a couple times a week. It really did help! But I've since sworn off those skin cancer beds, so I try to tough it out instead. In spite of this being a mild winter, I am SO ready for Spring. I need my warmth and sun and shorts. It does help knowing what it is and knowing that there is an end in site. Just knowing that March will bring new energy in my world is enough to keep me going for a bit longer.

  I'm Not Going To Heaven......

  .....but i'm going to a church that thinks they all are.

  they preach a good game but in the end, i still believe in the paradise on earth theology.

  i'm split right down the middle, as i cannot get away from the belief that only a few were ever good enough to get to heaven.

  Art, I had a hard time with that too. I still do. But the whole point of Grace is that NONE of us are good enough to get to Heaven. No matter what we do, NONE of us are good enough or will ever be good enough. NONE of us deserve it. But it's given to us freely because He loves us. It's just up to us to accept the gift. I don't know if my afterlife consists of forever in heaven or forever on earth. Or maybe it's some time in both places. All I know is that my heavenly Father loves me like no other being has ever loved me and I am moved to do what I believe is Right in my life: be obedient to Him in this little life I've been given.

  Be True to Him, not to a building or group of people. If you can do that in that building or amongst those people, then keep going. But if you feel you're compromising your truthfulness to Him by attending, then stop.

  You are exactly where you are supposed to be.

  my mother married a man that was a complete and utterly a-hole.

  he made life miserable, and i would say he made my life like living in hell (for 9 1/2 years).

  i don't know what his problem was, but i guess it was this darn religion and more.

  Here in Dallas:

  • Whataburger - Love their burgers!
  • McDonald's - Love their fries!
  • Steak and Shake - Love their ice cream shakes!

  I wish I could get all three at the same place.

  Others I love:

  • Taco Bueno - Fabulous crunchy tacos
  • Chick-Fil-A - They have great chicken, but I don't eat there anymore since I'm allergic to wheat. And they have great waffle fries and lemonade!

  I Don't Watch Television!!!!!

  i'm too cheap to pay for cable.

  there's really not a lot of stuff to choose from that's worth watching for the price.

  free tv sucks the most, reality shows and other mindless garbage that keep making its way to market.

  If I didn't have a husband, our home wouldn't have a TV either. I love it! There are some shows I really have become addicted to: Lost, Medium, Law and Order, Futurama, Dog the Bounty Hunter (yes, please don't laugh)...aghs...the list could go on. But I know what a time waster that damn electronic is and I wish we didn't even have it. The only reason I can say I NEED to watch it is for the news. And I can limit myself to just once a day without an issue. The other stuff? Once I plop down, I'm usually there for the night. I'm trying to read more lately and get myself involved in community issues more. Sad isn't it?

  Although, sitting in front of this computer doesn't help me much either.
