  hello to onen hag oll (one and all).. my name is mark from the westcountry of the british isles, kernow (cornwall) to be precise, very, very rugged and magical celtic country full of myth, legends and ancient magic.. i was brought up within the borgy bogie balderdash, 3rd generation, father, wt overseer and local and regional assembly, convention organiser.

  my parents are still both in as well as my older sister and her family.

  i was disfellowshipped in april 1995 for anger and swearing.. the journey since has been a tour of magic and mystery, in search of healing and self-belief and empowerment enabling.. i work in community regeneration issues, especially social exclusion and am a full member of independent uk government 'think tank' the community action network (can) www.can-online.org.uk.

  i understand that "annointed ones" are no longer appointed to the governing body, because most are no longer alive.

  so now, what criteria are used to appoint members to the governing body?.

  what is the "chain of command" in the society from the governing body to the average jw living next door?

  Well, among the change of last October 2000, now to be part of the Board of Directors of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, you don't need to be a member of the Governing body or self proclaimed "annointed". In the past, (with the exception of Hayden C. Covington) to be part of the 7 members of that Board you had to be an "annointed one" and was always occupied by GB members. (see YEARBOOK 1946 pp. 221-224)

  Hi Charles, I appreciated your analysis. Just a small precision, there are more then two JW court cases of pedophile in France, but what you refered to are the known ones were it made it clear that the JW hierarchy didn't inform the justice. (see France Soir 11/9/99 Un Pédophile chez les Témoins de Jéhovah)

  Kismet,the reason I would like to know more about Brodie, is because my HYPOTHESIS is that he was/is a homosexual!

  What makes me think so? In the 1980s,Leo Greenless of the Governing Body, took Brodie with him on a Zone visit (just the two of them). Now from previous information we know who Greenlees really was. Both men I presume knew each other at the Bethel during the time of Percy Chapman (another notorious figure). Therefore, there had to be something going on between them two or else Greenlees would have took someone else.

  Can you please tell me if he's still alive?

  In 1274, Peter the Monk wrote:"The world is going through troubled times. Today's young people only think of themselves. They've got no respect for parents or old people. They've got no time for rules or regulations. To hear them talk, you think they knew everything. And what we think of as wise, they think of as foolish. As for the girls, they don't speak, or act or dress with any kind of modesty of feminine grace."

  Also, a remarkable resemblance exist between 2 Tim. 3:1-5 and THE ASSUMPTION OF MOSES 7:3-10. According to Dr. Alfred Edershim, in his noted book THE LIFE AND TIMES OF JESUS THE MESSIAH, (p. 927) stated that this "book dates probably from about the year 2 BC, or shortly afterwards." He added that it "probably quoted in Jude ver. 9."

  And if this is perhaps not enough, the book HONOR THY FATHER - Gay Talese, (p.335) wrote: "From an Assyrian tablet, dated c. 3000 BC, we read:"The earth is degenarting these days. There are signs civilization is coming to an end. Bribery and corruption abound. Violence is everywhere. Children no longer respect and obey their parents."
