  like metatron, i would like to know the facts that exist to prove that in the time of rutherford, bethelites and others got regularily serviced at a local brothel (as stated by barbara gazzutis in her book).

  if similar stories exist today, i would be glad to know about them as the wts takes delight in expossing jim swaggart and others!

  You know, it's not my intention to enter in no arguments with nobody. You have the rights to believe whatever you want. If you're happy good to you. But please do not try to interupt me or others from asking sincer questions. Do you think I would've been here if the WTS answered my questions candidly???
  
  What I can't understand in you is this, if you claim to be a loyal JW and believe in the 'FDS' then why don't you follow their instruction about the net? Am I inventhing? If not, then isn't this HYPOCRACY from your part? Do I have to remind you in the example of Uzzah?(2 Sam. 6: 6-7) Whatever your motives are, perhaps similar to those of Uzzah, RULES ARE RULES!!!   Open Mind, in the booklet DEFENDING AND LEGALLY ESTABLISHING THE GOOD NEWS by Hayden C. Covington, you find the following points on Self-defense:

  "The courts have held that Jehovah's Witnesses have the right to defend themselves when attacked by one who objects to their distribution of Bible literature."
  (p. 80, XXII, B)

  "If forced to use self-defense, do so. (See The Watchtower, September 15, 1939.)"
  (p. 83, par. 1.)

  The Universal Dictionary defines Martial art: "Any of several methods of fighting or self-defence, such as judo or karate, originated in the East." (p.946)

  on her way back home she jumped from the boat and was alleged that she was eaten by sharks.

  president knorr tried to keep it secret.. when i tried to investigate by writing to brooklyn and the bethel of thiland, none of them answered my registeried letters.

  Dino, according to Cetnar it took place in 1956/7. Unfortunately, not all find their Shangri-La. At Brooklyn, some found their grave!

  Maximus, this reminds me in what Ludwig von Pastor said to Pope Leo XIII that if the Roman Catholic Church had nothing to fear from the truth she ought to open their Vatican archives to scholars. But till now, it's easier for the WTS to criticize others then doing herself so. (see W92 15/10 p.28; G98 8/12 pp. 12-13)

  Maximus, thank you for your comments. The story that Dale related continue adding weight how careless they are. It would be interesting to know the name of this young man who develloped Diabetes. (Yes, I like all details)
  As James said, you boys need to write a book with all the stories that goes on at the Bethel as I'm sure there's many things not yet said.
  Any further comments on the above mentioned case? (was it Ray or Fred Franz who was involved in it?)

  if you haven't already related to us the experiences at bethel that you told to your mom-in-law, (or even if you already have told us) could you tell us about what you told her.....and...what is "g-jobbing" (sorry for my naivity) .

  i didn't want to take away from sl post about his mother but i thought a little insight into the world of the bethelites would be interesting this am.

  A Historical Jesus?

  i have been reading a book called the jesus mysteries and it puts forward an idea that jesus never existed but was born out of the ideas of gnostism.

  there are many similarities between ancient religions and christianity, which is very worrying for me.

  i have not had a lot of time of late to read up on it properly but here are the conclusions that i have come to so far.. did christ exist?

  Hi John, did you manage to read LOSING FAITH IN FAITH by Dan Barker? Chapter 51, speaks about, Jesus: History or Myth? What I find interesting is that the historian Justus of Tiberius who was a native of Galilee and wrote a history covering the time when Christ supposedly lived, "makes not the least mention of the appearance of Christ, of what things happened to him, or of the wonderful works that he did." (see Photius' BIBLIOTHECA, code 33)

  Hello Robert, and welcome to this board. You have all rights to express yourself and it's not my intention to force you to agree with all what is writen here. But could it be, your attidute resemble that of Nathanael? In John 1:46 we learn that Nathanael expressed prejudice without examing first things. The answer of Philip was simple, "come and see." And that's what I encourage you to do without no prejudice. After, if you accept or discard things, that's up to you.

  As The Watchtower - January 15, 1974, page 35, paragraph 3, shows: it's our moral responsibility to alert the danger.
