Just about everything but mainly R&B. Reggae, rap, rock, some pop music. I can't get into country (other than the pop versions)! Maybe I just don't hear it enough.

Would Your "Spirit-Directed Conscience"Have Made You Walk Out Of A Movie?
by Englishman inthis was a fairly frequent occurence amongst the brothers and sisters in my young dubby days.
i was heaved out of the cinema on more than one occasion, generally by my mother who reckoned some things were just too much for my innocent young eyes and ears.
i only half saw:.

Horrible News!
by KKLUV155 ini just found out today that a lady i had know for several years now had a horrible tragedy happen in her family.
her 8 year old son died yesterday from a gunshot wound to the head.
what i was told is the 8 year old told his older brother he was going out to shoot a rifle and the older brother tried to take the gun from his brother and the gun went off and killed him.

Eat, Drink, and be Merry !!!!
by JustTickledPink ini remember the jws used to criticize the "eat, drink, and be merry" philosophy "for tomorrow we might die" and i used to think that it was a good thing that i was doing something worthwhile with my life instead of being distracted with the material things, or fleshly things of the world.
that the philosophy was so fatalistic, that tomorrow we might all be dead and anyone believing in the "eat, drink, and be merry" philosophy were all so hedonistic.
today, i hear that and have different feelings towards the saying and philosophy.

Yes! I always felt that actually enjoying myself was wrong if it didn't include some type of jw socialization. That made me have no social life, even with family, because everyone was worldly!

Girl, you're lookin good! You're cute no matter what!
I can just imagine how much better you feel. Size 8 is excellent. You're so fortunate to have boobs after a weight loss! I will need implants after my extra pounds come off! (Which I don't mind)

UPDATE: telling my parents I dont believe in God
by filip inmy parents have noticed my negative and sad attidude lately, whenever were going to the meetings or studying and so on.
but they just think that i am negative and sad in general.
i dont think they think that its spesifically because im being dragged to the meetings.. so lately we have had a lot of "serious" talks, because theyre worried for me.

When I started studying, I was told to raise my daughter 'in the truth', and that if she one day said to me, "Mommy, I don't want to go the meetings anymore", that I should not force her to go. I was told that was a responsibility as a parent. This was 5 years ago, though. So it makes me wonder if there was a 'new light' shed in that aspect (between you and my kids' births).
Basically, raising her in the borg was the best I could do as a parent, but even if she was 9 and told me she didn't want to go, then she could stop attending.
