Perfect example of what I think of people from Alabama.
i just watched it on cnn.
the black anchor man on cnn was discussing it with a black guest and of course they do nothing but support him.
they said he has helped many people, hes been harassed, blah, blah, blah.

I was home, early into the pregnancy w/my son, and between jobs that week. I was watching Good Morning America when the local news interrupted to show it. Then I saw another plane in the background heading for the second tower, and then the cable went out.
At that second, I knew it was terrorists. CNN came back on, though with much static. Part of me thought armegeddon was starting.
I lived <10 miles from Newark Airport at that time and could've really used some sleeping pills afterwards. 3 days later, I went to Eagle Rock Reservation to see the new view of the city, and watched the smoke from the tragic event.
Fortunately, no one I personally knew died, but there are people I know who lost friends/family.
so, i came across this story on one of my favorite websites/message boards, and wondered, "could they possibly be jw's?
i found it interesting, nonetheless.. .

A thousand miles from home and no where to go on Thanksgiving. My in-laws lied and said they didn't celebrate Thanksgiving and their spineless son didn't open his mouth. Of course they did, they just didn't invite me! They said they didn't celebrate a lot of other holidays either. But when I did the work and they could mooch--mooch--mooch, they ran to my house as fast as their legs could carry them.
Also, I was stupid enough to make them dinner and cake and ice cream for their birthdays. For my birthday, I was lucky if I got a 49 cent card. They said, "people shouldn't do things for other people because they expect something back," which means, you are toilet paper. We'll wipe our hineys with you and use you as much as we can.
Of course, my FIL brags he is a college graduate, which my Dad was not. But my Dad didn't cheat on his family. My spineless mate won't stand up to them because he's afraid he'll lose his inheritance. Bet he won't get a penny any way. What in-laws spend less than $50 on a wedding gift for their son (first marriage)?
Do you have any crazy jw inlaw stories?
well i just realised how terrified i look holdin' him, and i was terrified!
didnt want to break the new baby!!

she actually came out in defense of michael vick.
she said in some parts of the south dog fights are common so we must understand where he's comming from.. well, in some parts of the south people discriminate against african americans.
are we supposed to excuse them, understand them?
BTW, how would Whoopie know what southerners do? She hails from NY and has probably never been south of the Mason- Dixon line except to grab whatever appearance fees she can get then zips her butt back up to NYC to be back among her privledged and pampered friends- none having any clue about the lives of the rest of us 98% poorlings.
LMFAO!
Yes, I love heights when over land.
the reason for my curiosity is that several have asked if i'm really from alabama.
??????.
snowbird.
The first thought that comes to my mind are Confederate flags and lynching.
I've never been to Alabama. The beaches look beautiful from what I've seen on tv/photos and the sky was very clean/unpolluted when I flew over it. I imagined it to be very beautiful.
I haven't met a lot of people from there, but those I've met have been very kind people.
