I was a nerd, band geek, popular till I dated one of the biggest geeks in my grade! Quiet, sneaky, closet alcoholic like many others.
I went on to university right out of high school for one year. I had no clue what I wanted to major in. Been in and out of school since then. Back in, majoring in English at community college to get my GPA back up to par. Will transfer back to uni next year sometime, double major in English and Marketing.

Heck, I don't feel comfortable with you there this very second.
Can you get police protection right now? Would you be willing to leave today, for the day? You ARE entitled to work in a safe environment.
<---Watches AMW too much, I guess.
Fug that, leave!

Kevorkian is free!
by startingover inpersonally, i would like to have the choice to end my life if i chose to do so and see nothing wrong with having a professional help me with it.
i have watched several people die and to me it's just plain cruel to put someone through that.
we would never think of letting an animal suffer like that but yet some people in this country think they need to jail a person willing to help speed up the process.

i have a speech class and make my first one tomorrow.

Ok...so, it went well. I got a B and the professor liked it! Perfect speech gets an A (NO one was that good this first time). It didn't feel too bad, but I was definately not as calm as I should've been. I kept looking at the food I was preparing and not at them enough! Now for the information speech, I was thinking, "Signs of Cult Behavior"! LOL

Is it easier for a witness (vs Christian) to stop believing in God?
by Guest with Questions ini dont have any statistics but am curious if there could be any truth to it; that it might be easier for a witness to stop believing vs a christian.
i dont see this at any of the churches i have attended; people leaving in droves with some totally discarding any belief.. 1 the jw org is the only truth.
you question its authority, then you question god.

Witnesses are much closer to the atheist position than most people realize. After all, they've already discard several myths held by the average Christian (immortality of the soul, the deity of Christ, literal Hell, etc...). Many have discard these beliefs after some amount research. It only takes a little more research to discard it all. Frankly, I'm surprised at how many remain in limbo as Witnesses, not quite Christians but not yet Atheist.

I love your post! This is a very true point, I feel, that reflects witnesses regardless if they were born in or joined as adults.
