Has anyone ever played with a ouija board?
by delilah inthis past weekend, we met a new couple in our campground, and the conversation soon came 'round to the supernatural.
the lady said she has had quite a few supernatural experiences, and that she plays her own home-made version of the ouija board.
my husband was all excited and begged her to play .

As others have stated, I have no problem with a person deciding to do that to themselves, just as I have no problem with a person choosing to worship a deity. But I don't want to date a theist, and I don't want to date someone transgendered.
So well put. I think that's something that should be told to a person once a friendship has been made. Not doing so, or waiting a LONG time would be very deceiving. There are certain things in life, people just oughtta be told up front and be given the chance to 1) make a decision for themselves and 2) show their true character--but I guess a person can only be given that chance if the other party involved wants to love and accept THAT person for who they really are!
They did a story on this once on 20/20. This woman (also an author) dressed as a man and went out with women, as a show experiment, later telling them she was a woman (who happened to also be a lesbian). Well.....some of the women wanted to still date her....she made for a hot guy!

Nice lyrics
I only know a few MTV popular songs by them because I'm of the "Loves Hairbands" group. Love metal, too, but just don't know as much Metallica as I wish I did.

Do you lick the lid of life??
by ilovegravy inok, so there`s a tv ad doing the rounds in the uk about yoghurt and its strapline is "do you lick the lid of life?
" so it gets me thinking.
to my knowledge, and i could be wrong here, but as far as i know, yoghurt in cartons is the only food in which our instant reaction is to lick the lid...i can`t think of any more ...can you?.

All the time! Lemon Curd, too.
What can I say I experience the world largely with my tongue and I love to lick.
Oh, so THIS is what I missed!

When money goes missing... what do you do?
by Scully inso i've got this jam jar of american coins and small bills that i've been squirrelling away for my next shopping trip south of the border.
just the other day, monday, i acquired a $20us bill and added it to my stash... and when i went to add some more coins to it this morning, the $20 bill was missing.. i'm pretty sure it was one of my teenagers.
they come into my room and do their makeup and use my bathroom on a regular basis.

As a teenager, for a time, I stole from my dad's cash/coin stash. My brother knew and didn't say anything. It stopped when he figured out money was missing and we were both punished.

Anyone here have experience in Native American culture/worship?
by Angry_Kangaroo insince leaving behind jw beliefs, i have been interested in learning other belief systems.
i am really interested in native american beliefs as i have native blood in my background, and i feel more at peace and closer to god when i am in nature.
from what i have read, it is not a set religion with rules and such, but more a cultural/community based faith.

I went to a Pow Wow a few years before my jw days began. Loved it!!!!!!!!! There is a big one held every August near my former area of NJ. Have you attended one yet?
I have Native American in me as well (Cree & Cherokee)...that goes back a few generations, though.
