  i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.

  he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

  even though i no longer proclaim being a jw it seems to have tarnished my relationship with others, including family and even co-workers.

  Yes, very much so. My family is anything but understanding with regard to my choice (though a deluded one) to cut them off due to a cult involement. They are very religious, too.

  McCain. I think a lot of people will change their minds once in the voting booth. If Obama wins, it won't be by much.

  For ever so much that the left has griped about Bush, I will do the same for Obama.

  Interesting Local Needs Talk: Don't Invite Studies To "Our" Get Togethers

  i heard that the most recent local needs talk was regarding the evils of having non witnesses at "our" gatherings.

  since there's nothing really for "us" to talk to "them" about, and since "their" conversation will not involve anything to do with "the truth", we should guard against "worldly" association.

  it appears that the cult wants their members totally removed from anyone not a witness.

  a good friend of mine dad a few months ago because he'd moved in with his 'worldly' g/f and he was already partially being stalked by the local boe.

  since then his mother will have nothing to do with him, neither will his sister and her family.

  a few of the more real jws that genuinely care about him have kept a level of contact up.

  Side note--

  I do not believe it is caused by HIV. I believe the HIV treatment causes AIDS.

  i really enjoy halloween.

  the air is crisper and cooler, a relief from the hot summer.

  the season is a celebration of the harvest, as the earth has once more provided her bounty which the people store up to last through the winter until spring.. .

  Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. I LOVE it! The candy, costumes, and return to our pagan roots of life.
