Wow! Pioneer Spit! I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. But I suppose you can understand their hesitancy. JWs also, despite what they say, are more than happy to sue if something goes wrong without blood transfusions.
I wondered whether the US would be one of the first places where insurance companies would be the ones who decided that they would not cover doctors who chose to operate on JWs.....ie with one hand tied behind their backs!

However, you can understand why doctors and nurses in a trauma situation do not want to deal with one or several HLC members, who are qualified as janitors, window cleaners etc telling them how they are 'allowed' to treat a patient who is bleeding to death.
Maybe, having to deal with the HLC idiots is asking a bit too much from doctors in an emergency, life or death situation and they have decided to opt out of that particular problem!
Surely there are plenty of other hospitals in that region, aren't there?

JWs appear such 'nice' people on the surface, don't they.
Scratch the surface and you soon discover you're dealing with 'white washed graves!'
I would love to contact 'The One Show' but have promised a relative to 'behave' and not do anything that might get me DF'd until after their wedding, otherwise 'The One Show' would receive an ear bashing and a half......nicely of course!
But why are these 'lunatic fringe cults' receiveing such air time?
Maybe there really are too many directors and producers on the BBC who happen to be JWs and therefore I will not feel able to reveal what they ask for, name, address, postcode etc.

I just received a LOVELy letter from Trevor
by mouthy inin answer to the one i sent him..i had sent him some christian tracts .which he admits he has little use for spiritual things ( which i can understand bless him) but he did say he wouldnt throw them away one day maybe!!!.
he said that he agreed with me that an apology is truly in order ,& wanted to take this time & the opportunity to offer an unreserved apology for his conduct on jwd,of which he is both ashamed & embarrassed to everyone there /\....he also added he wished you all a very happy christmas.. .
he added that he has not been on jwd since ....thought i would let you all know.. so any who do pray .

All can be 'fixed' but not without scar tissue.
So you begin to wonder.....who hurt Trevor and when?
We take 'insults' both physical, sexual, emotional and verbal against children far too lightly. Their 'wounds' appear to heal but not without scarring.
We need a little more understanding for those who have been damaged in some way!
In the end, all said and done, I was rather glad that 'Linda' didn't exist and glad she didn't die such a terrible death.

My mother has been verbally and emotionally abused by my father......always.
My Elder uncle and cousins have all been witness to it for the last forty years and say nothing.....just turn a blind eye like tha assholes they are.
My mother was told to pray more and be more subservient so as not to upset her husband!
Waste of time asking window cleaners to sort out problems like this!
The majority of JW Elders are a bunch of toss pots!
Help your mother leave her husband and support her if she is willing to leave. My mother won't leave the ass hole she is married to as apparantly she has been told by the toss pots that 'Jehovah hates a divorcing!'
In the end, you just have to throw up your hands and admit that they're all insane!

now the time has come for me to leave - i am now able to put 35 years of jw living completely out of my head.. .
many factors have helped me, and jwd was an important part of that, and i will always be grateful to simon for setting up this forum.. .

a saudi court sentenced a woman who had been gang raped to six months in jail and 200 lashes more than doubling her initial penalty for being in the car of a man who was not a relative, a newspaper reported thursday.. the decision by the qatif general court came in a case that had sparked rare debate about the kingdom's justice system when it surfaced more than a year ago.. in its decision wednesday, the court also roughly doubled prison sentences for the seven men convicted of raping the 19-year-old woman, the arab news reported on its english-language web site.. according to arab news, the court said the woman's punishment was increased because of "her attempt to aggravate and influence the judiciary through the media.".
she had initially been sentenced to 90 lashes after being convicting her of violating saudi's rigid laws on segregation of the sexes.. under saudi arabia's interpretation of islamic sharia law, women are not allowed in public in the company of men other than their male relatives.. the initial sentences for the men convicted of the gang rape ranged from 10 months to five years in prison.

There is no such thing as 'Justice'!
Don't fool yourselves that we live in 'democratic and free' countries!
Even in the UK, though we don't punish the victims, only 1 in 20 men are convicted of rape.
However, coming back to the wonderful Saudi system...a few years back a young woman was raped by her employer's son. Thing was, she was blind. Therefore she could not identify her attacker by sight.
She had a similiar amount of lashes for being 'impure' I believe!
I suspect that should 'Sharia Law' actually become law all over the world as the Muslims intend, all we women should commit suicide as an act of absolute revolt.
Let's finish this damned human race off once and for all!
There is NO WAY I would live under Sharia law or expect my daughers and grandaughters to suffer the abuses, violence and disrespect of the Islamic religion!
The 'hand that rocks the cradle rules the world', so perhaps we can pull the shutters down on the world once and for all!
