an education authority is investigating claims that two school pupils were punished for refusing to kneel down and pray to allah during a religious education lesson.

Hmm!

My daughter (who is not C of E ) has to go to a C of E school as we are in their catchment area and so no other local school will take her.

If the kids don't 'pray properly' ie hands together, head bowed, words repeated they have to go to a room with the head teacher and pray until they do it properly.

Don't hear about that in the paper, do you?

The religious extremists are everywhere.

The Muslims are being demonised inorder to cause conflict and eventually some kind of war against Muslim nations.

What does war make? MONEY!!!!

Who gets the money from the uniforms, guns, ammunition, shrouds etc? The people at the top who manipulate the unthinking people at the bottom.

Be careful what you believe because often it is NOT the Muslims calling for these 'rights' but agent provocateurs who are shit stirring!

I would also like to say that if it is ever found, one way or another, for sure that the CIA and Mr Bush did orchestrate 9 / 11 well.....let's just say there will be a lot of so far undone thinking to be done to understand why we at the bottom of the heap allow ourselves to be so easily led by the nose!

JW Elder steals money from family and nothing is done - Anglesey UK

this whole scenario is typical of the jw organisation sticking up for elders who do horrible things.. an elder from the anglesey congregation - one of 9 siblings - decided to join forces with one other sibling to make sure that the other siblings didn't get their inheritance.

he and his brother manipulated the matriarch of the family before she died, whilst she was gravely ill, and made sure that the rest of the family never saw the inheritance that was rightfully theirs.. he went so far as to restrict access to the house she lived in by changing locks etc.

so that her sons and daughters could not see her on her deathbed.. when she finally died, it was revealed that he and his brother had siphoned the money off and took possession of the property so that no other sibling could benefit.. they even had their own wake after the funeral service itself - to which the other siblings were not invited.. when this was reported to the co and congregation elders, they promised to investigate.

Sirona - A JW 'fiddle' the estate of an elderly relative! Surely not!

The only reason my husband did not chase up after his mother to find out what happened to his grandfather's government bonds and shares in various companies including a well known tobacco company (a JW with shares in a tobacco company!! ) is that we didn't want her going to jail, as she indicated the estate was just a few thousand under the inheritance tax threshold when in fact it was way, way, way over and as she had power of attorney (unregistered) she had 'transferred' everything to her own account a few months before the grandfather died.

Tax fraud is not viewed kindly, and my husband did not want to know that his mother was in jail because of him even though she probably robbed him of at least another thirty plus thousand pounds at least.

So, the Anglesey case doesn't surprise as JWs are not better and if anything can be worse than others simply because of the holier than thou attitude.

i'm looking for tips.

i usually shop at a commissary on a military post, the other day i went to a civillian store and found eggs for $3/dozen, milk $5/gallon and bread $3/loaf!

well even on post it's still expensive.

Well, first thing we did was sent me out to work. We always aimed to survive only on one wage which gave us help during the last recession as I went back to work full time then and has meant we lived within our means all these years and I have been able to go back to work now. Amazing that this extra money buys NO luxuries, only survival.

Second, we don't use the car unless we really, really, really, really have to.

We've become vegetarian.....everyone, whether we like it or not. NO meat. It's too expensive and totally unnecessary.

No alcohol as it is unnecessary and we can't afford it.

Second hand clothes.....all round.

Books are second hand from Amazon or charity shops.

No fruit juice and only the cheapest fruits if they are on offer.

I bake and no bought biscuits. Eat lots of vegetables and make my own yogurt.

Make sure washing machine is jam packed before we use it.

No going out, no eating out, no extras.....and hope it doesn't get much worse.

you have to understand three things to comprehend the significance of 1975.. 1975 was the end of the watchtower society as we who lived in the 50's and 60's once knew it.

it would forever change because it was exposed for all the world to see as a group of liars and deceived dupes.. it all began with a baptist farmer named william miller who sat down with only his bible and a concordance and a crackpot idea that a .

a "day for a year" and the gentile times meant something profound which would effect his own day and time.

Oh Yes, Terry! THAT was the year.

I remember being about 11 yrs old and my mum buying me a nice red dress with blue and white strawberry print and some nice white sandals. We toured Europe and visited our relatives for the 'last' time before Armageddon came, and there was no preparation for my going to school in Seprember, after all, Armageddon was due in September, wasn't it!

So I went back to school in clothes that didn't fit properly, with shoes that pinched my toes so badly that my dad had to nip out and get me a 'sturdy pair of boys shoes that would see my through Armageddon!' 'Cos, it was coming NOW, wasn't it!?

I remember my parents and Aunt and Uncle discussing where we were to run to when 'they come for us'! 'What mountains are there in Leicester to flee to?' my desperate Aunty asked!

Then I remember the next year when they were discussing those 'people who ran ahead of the organization predicting that Armageddon would come in 1975 when the Society said nothing of the sort!'

And that was when I realised that I was trapped in an unending nightmare. By 12 I was desperately depressed and not able to recover for nearly three more decades.

The nightmare lasted another 28 years. I've escaped......one or two of my relatives also......but the rest are still trapped on the speeding up carousel that is sure to crash eventually.....sadly with them still on it!

Well, Brother, I have to admit to being concerned about your dire straits. At 108, I've had to get an evening shelf stacking job that has people one tenth of my age totally exhausted after 4 hours! Having said that, it pays reasonably well, (double time on Sundays, one and half times on Saturday and unsociable hours added for evenings!) IF it's possible for you, I suggest another small job.....though I know that's not feesible for everyone.

I am quite shocked at the amount of pensioners who have had to take on part time jobs, here in the UK just to survive!

Zeroday - With regard to your 'LET THEM EAT CAKE' comment - I would like to point out that not long after that comment was made by Marie Antoinette, they built the guillotine and USED IT! Didn't actually sort out the hunger problems for a while but it cut down on the not so 'clever' comments coming from the people at the top of the pyramid!

Let them be warned! Madame la Guillotine is ALWAYS waiting in the wings!

Society to start laminating paper backed publications

at the wednesday night ministry school meeting, a letter from the society was read announcing that wtbts paperbacked publications will begin to be laminated.

according to the letter, this "will save approximately 2 million dollars per year," "lengthen the life of the publications," and "increase the attractiveness" of the publications.. so there's that.. .

also, will someone please explain to me why 85% of the congregation started smiling and nodding at this.. i sometimes think that headquarters could send the congregations boxes of turds and the jws would act like it was the best thing ever..

As with Lady Zombie, I suspect they won't be printing the things for much longer but will be expecting the congs to 'print your own' and then in some way charge them a contribution for each down load.

i was surprised to find that charles taze russell, of the russell family line (of course) was reportedly part of the setting up of the skull and bones society.. i have read many refutes that ct was a 33 degree mason but, let's leave that as a possibility along with his 13 bloodlines of the illuminati link and consider this scenario as a possible and worrying possible conspiracy theory.. fritz springmeier and some others (again all holding suspension of our disbelief in control here for a few moments, please), commented on the setting up of internement style camps around the united states and some pictures and sites are to be found on the net.. now, there are various 'christian groups' all anticipating the 'time of the end'.

the jehovah's witnesses, for example are expecting to be persecuted and then 'saved' by god.

they anticipate 'the end' at any time.

I suppose that if you add to this 'conspiracy' the fact that the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society owns almost 50% of Rand Corp, one of the biggest companys making military equipment in the United States, into the pot of this story, the Skull and Bones tie in and the 'front' of a religion, this might be just a little bit more than a Theory......but that to is just theory.....or is it?

Hasn't the Watchtower been prattling on about a 'New World Order' and a 'One World Government' since at least the 1990's?

inrainbows - I don't doubt what you say - at all.

The fact is, these facts as we see them are not accepted by a lot of people and 'stories' sometimes help to wake up the sleeping masses.
