I knew several jws that functioned as PR people for the WTS in certain areas, selected by the WTS. Basically, that brother wrote a PR release and it is treated much like a PSA. I don't think it meant represent the personally view of the media, but sometimes that is not clear.

Yes, the WTS ;might have finally realized they needed lawyers, trained specifically in certain disciples, tax, especially lawyers trained in handling child abuse cases. Could not trust jw lawyers to keep the details secret I assume. No cheap labor any more. Also, the WTS started using outside construction firms for their buildings because shoddy work and dangers in safety.

How many people thought about suicide after they were disfellowshipped

When I left, realized that the only power they had over me, was the power I allowed them to have. I felt self-impowered. I know that is not usual. But I had already cut off contact with jws and jw family. I made a new life for myself. But I made no statements that I felt the WTS was not valid. Some tried to trick into saying it, but they had no success
They were mad that I had "df'd" them. But I had to work on changing my think for awhile. This DB helped me tremendously, examining why I was staying. Love Blondie

Sorry, to hear about your loss. It is so good you had family to help you with all the emotion and paperwork that comes with this. Yes, jw funerals have been recruitment ads for a long time. I have been to ones where the man giving the talk, mentioned the deceased life memories for about 60 seconds before launching into recruitment, some had never associated socially with the deceased (not da'd or df'd) and suddenly had time to attend the person's funeral. Let me tell you about something that happened in regard to a death of a jw and funeral. One day, one elderf noticed after some weeks, that an older woman who was faithful in attendance and "field service" who had a "non-believing" husband had not been there for some time.. Finally 2 elders went to call on her (unannounced of course), and her husband came to the door. The elders asked if his wife was home. Hubbie said, "she's been dead for 6 weeks and is buried, You can visit her at her grave," and shut the door in their face. So much for keeping track of the flock. Once again so sorry to hear of your loss. When you lose your last parent, it becomes a whole different world. Love, Blondie

Are Elders prepared to take the fall for WT/GB misdemeanor's / crime ??
by smiddy3 ini have been thinking about this in relation to the directive given to elders to destroy any incriminating evidence they may have either on their pc`s ,e-mails , private notes in their possession, or notes in their witnessing bags ,etc.
to do with child sexual abuse they may still have in their possession.. isn`t that encouraging the elders to interfere with the justice system ?.
to break the law?.

Just remember that the WTS/GB view all organizations except their own are under the control of Satan. They do not think that the US or Britain or France, etc., are any less likely to turn on them than Russia, Islamic religions, etc. So the WTS views them as enemies and "not entitled to the truth" that is being lied to. All these countries have varying laws regarding lying to the government, and the WTS will lie to all of them if the WTS deems it is necessary.

As to going "bankrupt," I'm sure the WTS will have a way to semantically find a way to avoid that word, but not the reality. WTS says they don't tithe because they assess a dollar amount per publisher each month, and expect the congregation body of elders, pay that amount to the WTS. They make nice with words saying that if a congregation cannot afford it, that "other arrangements" can be made. Still tithing. Or that the anointed still alive on earth when the great tribulation starts, and the wedding of the Bride of Christ to Jesus (all of the 144,000 in heaven, can't have part of the bride miss their own wedding) happens shortly after what about:. With the GB made up of very young members, that would mean some would not die a natural death, and go to heaven. Is that the Rapture? I think so. With the WTS, it always about words.

Disfellowshipped, Seeking Reinstatement
by NotFormer indo disfellowshipped ones who want to be reinstated still have to sit up the back of the kingdom hall, away from everyone else, not allowed to speak to anyone?.
when did you realise that it wasn't worth it and finally decided to stop playing the game?.
is your life better now?.

Is this "clarification" related to the pressure being put on them by governments about the disfellowshipping and shunning of children?
I'm sure it is. I have seen many "adjustments" made by the WTS, driven by a negative legal experience because of treatment of df'd jws. In the past the WTS announced people as being df'd and name the specific sin, in an announcement from the stage at the "service meeting." It was also announced at other congregations the person had attended in the past in the area. They finally adjusted it to "is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses."
