  so my wife ran into a elder i new 10 years ago and invites him to dinner!!!!!

  he arives and gives me a bear hug...love bombing!

  he started talking about armegedon is really very very close.

  @blondie: nobody "carried away" the Jews. DNA evidence is quite clear, people with what we call Jewish origin have lived there for thousands of years in what the Romans called "Syria-Palestina"."

  I guess I was influenced by some things I read in Josephus writings. Some Jews did get away and were not taken to Rome and some were deported to Carthage. But as a religious national entity no mmore even more complete than when a vassal, that seemed to be gone, probably why the UN and other nations supported this the following. (I felt it was guilt over not really doing anything to save the Jews in Europe, knowing what was happening to the Jews then.)

  so today we are considering, the watchtower's new take on the "hailstone message", and if you don't know what that is , they used to believe that according to revelation 16:21 they would be preaching a hard hitting message during the time of the end.

  now, let's read the verse first from the new world translation: "then great hailstones, each about the weight of a talent, fell from heaven on the people, and the people blasphemed god because of the plague of hail, for the plague was unusually great" now this is their new understanding as it appears from the 3rd paragraph from their new watchtower study edition for august 2025 and their article:when will the preaching work end, has this to say: "our clarified understanding of matthew 24:14 also adjusts our understanding of the hailstonelike message foretold at revelation 16:21. further examination has revealed that the two scriptures complement each other.

  I was told by an elder on the HLC (is that what it is now) that many jws don't tell their physician until they are rolling down the hall on a gurney. Makes it difficult for the HLC to suddenly have the jw say they don't accept blood. Seems like they are being influenced at that time. Partly why the WTS started the "blood card" process. And continues to tell jws to get the HLC involved right away. I had a copy of my HCPOA given to my primary physician, my clinic file, my hospital. Then I had to redo it when I left. Hospitals that I was in, had a clear form you had to sign and explained it. Don't want a lawsuit. I don't know why wires got crossed. Sounds like this is a bigger problem.

  Anony Mous, there were several male jws brought up on charges in PA, so I'm sure as they go through the court process, similar verdict comes down.

  The headline says "

  Former Jehovah's Witness, so I think not probably "removed." But that doesn't mean he can't be reinstated. Have seen that happen several times over the years. Only has to say he is repentant and is back in. Both people had spent time in prison. But the elders say that child sexual abuse is a "sin" not a "crime" so the elders have the power to say he can be let back in. Made me mad. I contacted the congregation one was in, and that had no knowledge of his past, current congregation far away from his old one, and the BOE did not pass that info on.

  The 1995 ‘Generation’ teaching was a change in understanding. But, it changed a linchpin teaching. There were Witnesses who felt this belief was carved in stone. When the religion pulled the rug out from under everybody - the religion was over for a lot of people.

  I remember that. My husband was a new jw; and one day in 1994, I said, "they will have to change the 1994 date, a generation is supposed to be 70 to 80 years, starting in 1914 that means that the end has to come then. Then when the article came out in 1995 changing that, he said, "how did you know that?" I said I had seen how many times the WTS has changed a seemingly written in stone teaching, to something else. It was time, 1994 is here.

  Its just a matter of time before the gb make themselves disappear,,,before Armageddon.

  And vanish. But the WTS denies that is the rapture, sounds like it is to me.

  they are then turned into drones.

  in fact here is how wikipedia explains it.. the borg are a fictional alien group that appear as recurring antagonists in the star trek franchise.

  Thanks for that clarification, Rattigan "The term "Borg" was used because it was a short form of Brooklyn ORGanization. And it stuck because it fit the Borg hive mind."
