Ding, jws are so afraid they will do something to jeopardize their "everlasting life on a paradise earth in good health and all their loved ones surrounding them (carrot and stick), they will do anything the GB tells them. Definitely, they put the GB first, their god second. That is why too many jws are more worried about what humans might find out, than their god who the GB says the bible says their god sees all things and reads minds and the intent of your heart and jws forget that their god is the only source of the everlasting life they crave.

Yes, hoser, the GB implies their "suggestions" are not "rules" but its adherents/members don't feel the same way, and the really "holy" ones just don't make their own decision, they insist the other jws have to do the same thing.

The WTS focuses on gnat issues and gulps down the camel ones. "The phrase originates from the Bible, specifically Matthew 23:24, where Jesus criticizes the Pharisees for their hypocrisy. They meticulously avoided eating tiny insects (gnats) that were considered unclean under Jewish law, yet they were known to engage in corrupt religious practices and neglect the needs of others. The camel, being a large and unclean animal, serves as a stark contrast to the gnat, highlighting the absurdity of their misplaced priorities." (I wonder if the WTS sees themselves in this, probably not)

2025 Governing Body Update #4
"Therefore, after prayerful consideration, the Governing Body has concluded that there is no need to make a rule regarding toasting and clinking glasses. Each Christian should use the principles that we have discussed in this update and his own Bible-trained conscience to make a good decision. What does this mean? Are we saying that toasting is OK now at all times and in every situation? Of course not. We are simply saying that there is no need to make a rule." -

Watchtower has admitted wedding rings are pagan, but claims that is not important. Other cases of making pagan practices okay later. https://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/rhetorical-fallacy.php
Pagan Practices
This is an illogical argument because almost every object, practice and philosophy can be traced back to pagan origins or usage. Even the Watchtower logo links back to Pagan origins. Hence, the Watchtower has no choice but to be inconsistent in choosing when to forbid a practice on grounds of paganism. For instance, the pagan practice of wearing a wedding ring is allowed.
"Christians do not attach any symbolic meaning to a wedding ring ..." Watchtower 1969 Jan 15 p.59
The Watchtower has given the following wise but contradictory advice when allowing the pagan pinata.
"When considering whether to include a piñata at a social gathering, Christians should be sensitive to the consciences of others. (1 Corinthians 10:31-33) A main concern is, not what the practice meant hundreds of years ago, but how it is viewed today in your area. Understandably, opinions may vary from one place to another. Hence, it is wise to avoid turning such matters into big issues." Awake! 2003 Sep 22 pp.23-24

"What, then, should we expect to take place? The chief thing to be restored is the human race to life; and since other Scriptures definitely fix the fact that there will be a resurrection of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and other faithful ones of old, and that these will have the first favour, we may expect 1925 to witness the return of these faithful men of Israel from the condition of death , being resurrected and fully restored to perfect humanity and made the visible, legal representatives of the new order of things on earth."
