hi everyone, was hoping i could share my experience, read other people's, and perhaps receive some advice regarding parenting through seperation.. so my wife of 8 odd years, and mother to my 3 children (8,6,3) and i have separated.

largely due to our differences not just with religion but all areas of life.

the breakup was amicable, and we remain somewhat friendly to one another while we work all this out.

Jehovah’s Witnesses today are also quick to help when disaster strikes. During the summer of 2001, for instance, torrential storms caused major flooding in Houston, Texas, U.S.A. In all, 723 homes of Witnesses were damaged to some extent, many of them quite badly. A disaster relief committee made up of qualified Christian elders was immediately formed to assess individual needs and to allocate relief funds to help the local Witnesses to cope with the situation and repair their homes. Willing volunteers from neighboring congregations performed all the work. One Witness was so appreciative of the help that when she received payment from her insurance company to cover the repairs to her house, she immediately donated the money to the relief fund so that it could help others in need.

Alcohol and Fat?

It is hardly news that people who drink too many alcoholic beverages tend to get fat. But why? A recent study at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, came up with an interesting possibility. Apparently it is not just the calories in alcohol that make it so fattening but also the way alcohol affects the body’s ability to burn fat. Nutritionists have long known that the body is a bit sluggish when it comes to burning fat, tending to store it while burning sugars and carbohydrates more readily. But alcohol makes the body burn fat even more slowly. In an experiment, men were placed on diets that included three ounces [90 ml] of pure alcohol per day—about the equivalent of six beers. On this diet, the men burned about one-third less fat than usual. Of course, the more fat in one’s diet, the more pronounced this effect tends to become.

Petra doesn't care if you copy pictures if you want. There are other pictures around here somewhere. Petra doesn't think much of her pictures. She thinks she is an "old maid" because she hasn't married yet.

Petra is only 24 going on 25 and working on her Master Chef degree, (or whatever they call it), so her hair is bound to be in better shape than us older folks. As we get older our hair suffers more and more. My hair turned pure white when I was 30 years old.

And Petra has a professional treat her hair which a lot of ladies don't do. The stuff that professional uses on Petra's hair is enough to give me nightmares. (When Petra's dad drops her off at the hair salon, he floors it and hauls ass out of there.)

Oatmeal--Vinegar--Honey--Olive Oil--Coconut Oil--Almond Oil--and other stuff is enough to make me run for the hills. I get worried Petra's hair will explode and blow us all to Kingdom Come!

But when her hair treatment is done she smells like strawberries. I don't get it!

I am just glad I still have a little white hair left to comb.
